Latest AP has...

The truth about them is probably somewhere in between. I think they’re probably closer to the 20th-25th best team than the 10th and the AP is overvaluing their W-L record a bit. On the other hand, an 8 seed feels like they’re being punished a little too much for the ACC being weak when they only lost 1 game that they probably shouldn’t have.

The hilarious part of all this is that the NCAA created a fun tool called the NET, whose primary purpose is to seed the tournament. In the NET Louisville is exactly where you suggest, at 24. Clemson is just ahead of them at 22. These numbers seem perfectly reasonably and yet the committee decided to ignore the metric they created in favor of…just doing whatever the **** they want.

Yeah, I can’t believe I’m taking up for Louisville, but comparing them to Clemson is a perfect case study for the committee having no consistent logic. They finished with identical records in the ACC, with Clemson having better big game wins against us and Duke, but Louisville owning the head to head 2-0. A difference of 3 seed lines in Clemson’s favor is wild there.

Apparently, whooping up on chumps in a chump conference gets rewarded.
Five teams were ranked in the top 25 when Louisville played them : Tennessee 12, Indiana 14, Ole Miss 23, Kentucky 5 and Duke twice 9 and 1. Their only win was Indiana, who didn't even make the NCAA Tournament.

They get a top 10 ranking and play an hour away from piss smelling Louisville. Sounds like they got rewarded for losing twice to Dook and every other top 25 team they played. The ACC was just gawd awful.

But they got Auburn...so at least their trip to Lexington will be a short 2 night stay if they get past The Blue Jays.
