8 of them have been asked to look elsewhere. So if you re-ranked the class it would have been about 30th....rankings are deceiving....at least I hope.
Not directed at you TNCat, but this board is so defensive. We didn't have a good class this go-around, but we're done & can move on to 2016. Although, I did just notice on ESPN that Missouri was at 18 & UL at 28, with UK nowhere in the top 40. Oh, well......Originally posted by TNCatfanforever:

And UK is currently ranked 36 in rivals. You may not think they didn't have a good class, but really you zero about recruiting.Originally posted by Spica Orbit:

I am not sure who they lost, but they had like 28-30 guys sign in that class. Rivals only ranks the top 20, so if they lost 8 guys then they still have the 20 best. If they only lost the 8 worst of the class they'd still be ranked in the top 5. If they lost a spattering then they probably still wouldn't fall that far.Originally posted by TNCatfanforever:

It is a solid class. It lacks the big names that we all hoped we get, but overall quality is pretty solid. However, it is the lowest ranked class of the Stoops era in both Rivals star ratings and in team rankings. On ESPN there are 11 SEC teams in the top 40. Actually, they are in the top 21. Florida, UK and Vandy aren't even in the top 40. That is a pretty big gap in talent to have to face on the field. The recruiting gurus don't think this is an amazing class, so I don't see how Spica can know "nothing" about recruiting when he is following the simple data put forth by the gurus.Originally posted by irishcat1965:

Thanks CBK3, the thing is I love Coach Stoops & the Cats, but the last six games of the season & losing one of the nation's top running backs (& only about 20 miles from the campus) just turned our recruiting sour this year. It's better than a Joker class, I'll give you that, but we've just got to do better next year, both on the field & with our recruiting class. We need a top 15 class next year in the worst way.Originally posted by Comebakatz3:
