Landman

I liked the scene where BB's wife did the whipped cream bikini.
Ali Larter is an absolute smoke show. Haven’t seen her since “Final Destination,” so I was shocked at how much older she is and that it’s been 25 years since she was one of the cool kids in the movie biz. It’s been a “Wow, I’m getting old” moment.

-This show is absolutely awesome. It has some soul to it; it feels genuine, which very few shows these days do. It has moments of comedy, tragedy, and nerve-wracking drama, but it a show that is impossible to look away from.

-Love Billy Bob Thornton, and he does an amazing job in it. The only other guy that could possibly pull off that role is is acting doppelgänger, Tim Olyphant.
Everyone does a great job, but Billy Bob Thornton is one of the best character actors I’ve ever seen, and he carries the show. I don’t like Costner’s acting (one reason I haven’t gotten into Yellowstone) nearly as much as Thornton’s, as I feel like I can better relate to Thornton and his character.

-Jon Hamm is fantastic, but I don’t feel like he fits the role he’s in as much as he did the role of Don Draper. He just doesn’t pass as a southerner. I just think he is getting killed off of the show, and they probably expedited his demise because he just doesn’t fit into the storyline that well.

-The odds of a cartel trying to mess with a major oil company are zero. Very unrealistic part of the storyline. Half of them are probably illegally here, and all of them are constantly committing felonies. Knowing the United States military is watching you would probably prompt you to suppress your desire to sabotage a legal trillion-dollar industry, yes? If you lose $30 million, you keep your mouth shut and move forward, right?

-The writing is amazing. Taylor Sheridan is kicking ass with all the American cultural period pieces he’s doing, as well as the modern ones.

-Paramount, Hulu, and Apple TV+ are all challenging Netflix, in a way no one really has before. It’s going to be interesting and very expensive for us all, going forward. Still have to pay for a traditional cable bundle, whether it’s satellite, cable, or a streaming service, in addition to all the streaming services. If I could get away with it, I’d get an antenna for local channels and keep the Hulu/Disney/ESPN+ package, as well as the rest of my streaming services, but I can’t risk missing a game. At least we have more options!
