Where's the elite shooter to replace Brea?

There aren't many options left, and Pope's system is predicated on having at least one guy to fill that position.

I know the coaching staff will find someone over the next few months. I'm just suggesting that it would be nice to make sure that someone is a proven commodity from three point range, as opposed to hoping Chandler, Williams, or Johnson can fill that role.

We have a starting 5 and backup SF, PF, and C that can win a title. Saunders and Robinson made big strides for year 2 under Pope so hopefully Chandler follows that pattern. Then if what we have now is all we get , what hope to god Perry makes some huge transformation into a PG? I like him as a SG that gets 5-10 minutes when better defenders are around him to help with defense but I want to vomit thinking of him being a PG and having to face any pressure from a really good defender because its turnover city.

Wouldn’t just make that assumption. Some guys are smart enough to play the long game vs instant gratification. When you combine UK NIL with exposure and the real chance at winning a title, that’s far better than a little bit more money at IU for a season.

Obviously may not be the case here, but considering they reached out first, it very well could be.

That might be the only place you’ll find him. His team went 13-18, lost its last 6 games to finish the season, and it goes without saying they didn’t even sniff the NCAA tournament.

As for Great’s stats, his FG%, rebounds, blocks, and points per game averages all declined from his previous season, and he is essentially nowhere to be found on the NBA draft board.
