Thumped #19 Illinois tonight, 76-53. Clara Strack had 25 and 15. Illinois did not hit a 3 pointer until there were 3 minutes left in the game, and they were outscored 26-9 in the 4th quarter. Impressive win for Coach Brooks’ squad!

Cuz it blatantly looked like home cooking '"on a neutral floor'' with the reffs in that game for Illinois. Big 10 refs?
They better be glad they hit 20 of those 27 free throws or they would have lost by 50 ranked number 19.

Clara Strack is All American my friends. She is freaking awesome. The best post player we've ever had in Kentucky in the history of Kentucky women's basketball if she stays around.
49 points in the last two games. She's almost unstoppable with her fade away jumper. Plus she is nice to look at!!

I'm SOOOOO glad we got Coach Brooks. Kentucky will FINALLY have a respectable women's program for more than a year or two. Pay that man whatever he wants Mitch!

When you get to this level of sports, traditionally there is an independent referee watching the game. After every game, the referees are evaluated and given a paper copy of such. It’s how in sports you end up with who you end up with in the big events.
It’s biased of course, especially in conference or with certain teams. The viewers eyes are not deceiving them.
Long term over paying contracts seem to turn coaches into Stoops/Cal look alike. Maybe not Brooks, but why take the chance? He is not going to find a better situation than here in Lexington.
The key to contracts is the length. Should never be more than 5 years, which is what Pope and Brooks both currently have. I don’t care how much you pay anyone, but keep the length at 5 years. If you renegotiate after a few years, just make sure the years you add on never amount to more than a total of 5 years.
This will always make the buyout doable. 2 bad years and you only need to buyout 75% of 3 years as opposed to 7 or 8 years.

This is gonna sound sexist and it is: Our 6'5" center is gorgeous, best looking big-woman on anybody's court. And she had 25 points and over 10 rebounds against ranked team. She is on track to be all-american and media darling.
