Kyrie Wants Out Of Cleveland

I'm always kind of blown away at how much people can hate someone who has no impact on their lives and doesn't even know they exist.

I cheer against Tom Brady but he seems like a good teammate and dad and husband and he's the best quarterback of all time.

I cheer against Steph Curry, but he seems to be a good husband and father and is the best shooter of all time. He's a blast to watch even if I hope he loses.

I just don't get it. Why do people want to personally attack and hate and professionally discredit greatness? You sound insane. If 99% of the world can see it and agree on it and you just plug your ears and scream about some arbitrary nonsense...maybe it's you.

A man can win the Citizenship award, donate hundreds of millions to charity including about 225 mil recently to Alexander disease. A 225 mil that will help my friends little boy live all the way to age 9 pain free instead of dying at 6 in mind bending pain everyday, not mention has championship rings and top 5 player ever, but on the internet we call him a pussy. It's just almost hilarious but more sad

He will never be my favorite player but when I'm dead I hope I've done 1/100th of what James has done for others and top 5 in my field. Then call me a pussy too
Wait, Lebrun has donated $225 million to one charity? Good God, that's humanitarian of the decade stuff right there if true. Can't you just buy the cavs with that amount?

Apparently a childhood friend's son has Alexander's. So he was directly affected by this terrible disease

100% agree. I actually root against Curry and Brady as well. But they are incredible and fun to watch

It's wild how much hate people can have against folk they don't know. Maybe jealousy, I don't know

Are we sure there's not an extra digit in there?!? I mean...wow. My goodness

No. My friend called me in tears. They had just got back from the children's hospital in Philly. One of the best in the nation. Grayson has always been different, slow even but he was never diagnosed with anything. Nobody knew what he had or why he was different. He basically just smiles and laughs at everything. Always smiling. One day he had a seizure, never happened before. Almost died. So they started calling, found this hospital in Philly. They take him up and after tests they diagnose him with Alexander's. With meds he makes to till 9, maybe. Without he dies around 6. He will be 4 soon. Meds cost 115$-ish a day. After LeBron's help, they cost a couple bucks a day

My friend had never been a LeBron fan, till this happened. Now everyone in the family has a jersey and the works

That does seem astronomical. I know he pledged like $50 million to send 1,100 Akron kids to college. And $2.5 to an Ali exhibit.

But $225 million is Bill Gates stuff. Hard to believe he give that much to one charity even if one of his own family members had it.

It does. Just going on what the doctors told the family. It's a ton of money, I know. Believe I realize. This little guy is precious to me, I wouldn't jerk y'all around but this. It's the amount I was told that the doctors told my friend

Not doubting you on the tradgedy, but 225 mil is really a lot of money. Has he made that much in his career?

Because this is sports. Which means they hate him with passion when it's brought up, forget him while working or dinner time, and would ask for his autograph if they passed him in the mall. Nothing unusual about it to me. The best always have huge detractors and huge supporters.

I dont know anyone saying, in a
serious manner, he's not a great. The issue with Lebron comes down to his place in the pecking order.

I dont actually mind Lebron. He cries? So does the rest of the NBA. Non issue to me. I was seriously watching to see if he could challenge for a top 2 spot. I see no chance of that now.

You bring up Brady and Curry, both stars who have players that want to play with them. Thats a sign of greatness that goats possess. For whatever reason, Lebron chases others, they dont chase him. That's going to be a huge black mark moving forward.

Lebrons best bet it to figure out why that is and fix it. But there's no way in hell that happens unfortunately.

Excellent post Gonzo, excellent.

I can understand "hating" a Laettner, because we're UK fans and he is a villain to us, but someone like LJ just doesn't register much to me.

I'd love to see him on my Celtics roster, but of course that will never happen.

There have been countless guys take less to go play with LeBron. Wade and Bosh both joined him, even though it was on Wade's team. That was just a logistics technicality.

Shaq. Antwan Jamison. Larry Hughes. Ray Allen. Kevin Love. Deron Williams. Probably two dozen rotation level guys who jumped on in either Miami or Cleveland.

If LeBron had been drafted into an organization like the Patriots or the Warriors, I think you'd see similar results to what Brady has had.

People crack me up with the hate thing. Quit being so dramatic with it. This is a freaking message board.
Just because some of say we hate, can't stand, or despise so and so, doesn't mean we spend our days and nights plotting crimes against them.

It's a Message board. When I logout I really don't give a second thought to what you, me, or any other moron, who's wasting their time on here, has posted on here.....relax...it's all for cheap entertainment, at least for me.

Pretty sure he did not donate 225 million. THat's super exaggeration to the max.

Also, his foundation is donating 41 million to go to college. While i am sure he has donated into that fund, i am also sure that he did not donate the full 41 million.

Lebron James has earned around 450 million (reported by Forbes). Considering his travel, partying, lifestyle...no he couldn't have donated 225 million.

It would be world news.

I prepose a trade that can work:

The Mavs give up rookie Dennis Smith and our flat top feller Nerlens Noel for the dukie Kyrie Irving. Throw a draft pick and cash in there if ya want. This is the trade to make for Cleveland.
Holla if ya hear me!

Is Nerlens on the team at the moment?

Is Nerlens on the team at the moment?
yes and they are sandbagging on him right now during contract negotiations. He is due a big paycheck but the Mavs are holding out.
Nerlens would be the best atheletic defensive player Lebron has ever had in the post. Dennis Smith can play. Both got bad knees lol

Kind of interesting that Kyrie is selfish if he leaves Cleveland.

Lebron is a pussy if he joins the super team.

:joy::joy::joy::joy:

I say good luck to both of them!

jealousy is a cruel thing

Defiintely partly that, but he probably didn't like LeBron treating him like a little kid. I actually like LeBron more than Kyrie, but the facts are that he wanted out of Cleveland because he didn't like playing with LeBron.

I think that says more about Irving than LeBron. Irving was on a perennial lottery team until LeBron showed and turned them in to contenders.

Since he doesn't have a no trade clause he can't force his way somewhere, and I can't wait until he's stuck playing on a lottery team for the rest of his career. It would serve him right as a dookie.

Kyrie is tired of playing with LeBron the same way an 18 year old is tired of living with their parents. Doesn't mean there's a relationship problem there.

And I'd suspect kyrie will find out what most of us do when we move out. You get to do whatever you want, and sometimes it's more fun, but it's a hell of a lot harder.

I completely agree with everything you said, except this. Peyton is the greatest imo. That awful Colts team he took to a Super Bowl title is worst overall team to win the big one, and I don't think it's close. Not to mention statistically he has the edge on Brady in almost every category.
But to the point, personal hatred for athletes is absolutely stupid for the most part. On the other hand, I do hate Pacman Jones, as I feel he's an abhorrent human being, but it has nothing to do with his team or his play. He's just a bad person.
