KY Domination of Louisville

David only had 76 rush yards in the game, heck as a team UK had 83 rushing yard to Louisville’s 161.
There’s no way I’m nerd enough to go googling stats. But that last TD run he had is the very definition of a Rb carving up a defense. You guys were running in circles while he just strolled past everyone for the winning score.

But if you’re satisfied with moral victories then I’m happy you’re happy

That wasn’t my point at all, I was replying to the person who said Davis carved up our defense which he really didn’t.
Carved up as in Lynn Bowden, Benny Snell, Stevie Johnson, Chris Rodriguez, Terry Wilson, Will Levisville, AJ Rose, W’andale Robinson (who else am I missing?) ? No, but two TD catches and the game winning TD run was a good day’s work, not to mention breaking a tackle in the backfield on a crucial 4th and 2 late in the game.

hell, Smoke came in late one of those games and rattled off a long TD run.

So you see last year as a beat down? lol

Louisville won every category except for PENALTIES, turnovers, and the final score. We shot our selves in the foot, just like we did against Pittsburgh.
Not true.

UK had 165 yds on 4 KO returns for an average of 41.3 per return + 1 TD. UofL had 127 yds on 6 KO returns (UK seems to KO a bunch against UofL) for an average of 21.2 per return.

Uk had 289 total yards on 47 plays = 6.14 per play. UofL 403 yds on 76 plays = 5.3 yds per play. Yards per play is the key metric for measuring offensive and defensive efficiency.

I have made zero excuses for the loss, UK took advantage of a couple of the turnovers and had the really nice kickoff return for a TD.
You say you’re not making excuses, then make two excuses why you lost. You lost because we beat you on the scoreboard. I can make excuses why it should have been worse. Didn’t UL also take advantage of a driving 10 yard under throw interception turnover ? Didn’t they also take advantage of our kickoff specialist being out and catching kickoffs at the 20? Average field position after our kicks you started at the 40. There are 2 excuses of why the score was even close.

ul fans claiming the TO's were flukes.... We were laying wood that whole game. There were several hits in both halves I was shocked their rb/wr kept possession. It wasn't that TO's were abnormally high for ul that game... they were lucky they didn't have 3 more balls on the ground.

If McGinnis is available he puts all 6 of those kickoffs thru the end zone. That wipes out 126 yards of field position. He put 95% out of the end zone. I think the other 5% the coaches told him to try and put it on the goal line to stop them possibly short of the 20. He was a big weapon to lose. I also think it’s why we lost at Clemson. You can let UL start at the 40. Clemson ain’t UL. Poor Raynor could only get it to the 15 with his best kick.

I never claimed those TO’s were flukes. What I said was those TO’s and the kickoff return in my opinion is what helped win the game for UK. Both fumbles gave UK short fields and they took Advantage of those short fields with a field goal and a TD.

University Six was ranked in the top 10, had a reeling UK team that had lost 5 of their last six coming in on SENIOR DAY, on NATIONAL TV, in front of a FULL HOUSE, with EVERYTHING to play for including an outside shot at a CFP birth if they could have beaten a Free Shoes U™ team playing a student manager at QB the following week, and at the very least a win over a hated UK program that has dominated them the last few years would have nailed down a NY6 bowl for them. Instead, they couldn't get it done yet again and proved that their ranking was the product of a soft schedule as they went on to lose to Free Shoes U™ in a hideous offensive game which dropped them down to the Holiday Bowl to face a depleted USC team who dominated them.
Mic drop. That's a rack.

Soon, the ACC will not be looked at as a serious Power 5 and a 10-2 Louisville will be overlooked by multiple 9-3 or 8-4 SEC, BIG 10 schools. They benefitted from a terrible schedule, avoided the conference contenders, trudged through the conference basketball schools, got beat by an underwhelming Kentucky team. After this season, the media will forget about teams like them. Good thing they hired the future Nick Saban and all their losses will continue to be because of anything other than them not being good. They’d be a terrible wife.

Yea... Because we were far more physical. We lost to Bama and UGA and we all could see we were physically beaten. You guys just never want to admit that. If we play that game 10 times UK wins 7 minimum.
