will be opening soon. The menu will be unveiled tomorrow on the show. Looks like there will be Sleep Outfitters drink menu, Wendy’s appetizer menu, and Value City Furniture main menu all sponsored by Harry’s Razors.

I was not aware that Drew Franklin is the head chef. If turns out that he graduated from the Culinary Institute of America and spent years at

My daughter's swim at the UL natatorium regularly, thus I have been to the Cardinal Cafe twice. Each time I left, I thought what shame that our Cats didn't have anything comparable. I hope Matt creates something better .

I've always rolled eyes when Ryan contributes to any political topic. You can tell his head is completely void of all things political and just parrots everything Matt says. But seriously, how did they all evolve to have identical opinions?
 
We went to District Sport and Tap several times while it was open. As I understand it, they just didnt havr enough backing capital to make it through the lean times. District had good food and plenty of beer and TVs. No reason it should have gone under other than poor financial planning and promotion IMO.

Matt is fortunate in that he has the KSR brand established and he can advertise all he wants gratis. Thats going to help a lot.
But if food is poor or service, then none of that will matter.

I think they'll be fine, location isnt an issue down there. You just have to give people a reason to go on non gamedays. Fun games, beer giveaways, promote MLB, NFL, NHL....whatever else.

Also I hate the parking down there. Bdubs is atrocious, adding Kilt and KBar is going to make that absolutely buckwild on gamedays.

And in complete and total fairness, they make a disclaimer that they talk about these things, and if it angers you to listen to opposing political opinions (a very irrational stance to take), then don't listen. They don't have a hand on the radio tuner or on your keyboard that's forcing you to listen to the show.

Spitting vitriol into the direction of a person for the sole purpose of not agreeing with their political views when they speak about them on their show, after making it abundantly clear that they engage in political discussion and other current events (precisely what you're doing) is every bit as egregious, if not more-so, than "shoving" political talk down somebody's throat.

I say all of this as a person that has listened to his show less than 5 times in my life.

A good rule of thumb when hosting any kind of political talk show is to surround yourself with people who have like-minded political opinions on a daily basis. Gives the show some continuity, and for a guy that supposedly has political aspirations like Matt Jones, it would behoove him to have people in his circle who would be just as willing to push his political agenda. Some of it may be ass-kissing on part of the employees, part of it could be Matt Jones hiring people with those political views, and some of it could be due to a person's political opinions making a genuine change once they were exposed to it on a more regular basis (not so far-fetched when you consider that the average American is grossly under-educated in the field of politics.)

The OP is obsessed. Kind of scary actually. Just wait for several other political nut jobs to chime in on this thread. Most of the people that hate just don’t like that he doesn’t spew their same nutcase political views. If he did, they’d love him. But they claim they don’t want to hear “politics”. I’d rather hear him and his goofball crew joke around about it than listen to the psycho posters on this board that somehow throw their politics into threads about UK sports. The vast majority that don’t like him are pretty easy to spot and we all know why. Whatever. You don’t like him talking about that stuff from time to time? Cool, then stop bringing your political crap to this board.

His "liberal loser friends" know nothing and care nothing about politics and say so all the time. You political junkies are something else on both sides. Every single thing said is turned into a political argument. It's pathetic and disturbing.

Look, Im 34 yrs old, conservative, hate his politics, and haven't listened to the show in a long time (not because of that though I do find it annoying,) but because Im a hardcore sports guy who wants to listen to breakdowns especially on football and baseball. Honestly I only care about basketball due to UK. When the Cats are in season Im all in on it but I don't care out of season so I listen to what caters to me.

THAT BEING SAID, I am all for more sports bar options to watch games and have a good time at. This will obviously be a UK centric bar. Im all for that. Hopefully the music is good (please leave that to Shannon because the other 3 are atrocious when it comes to music knowledge.)

My point is Starbucks makes good coffee. Chick Fil A makes great chicken. I dont give a rip if gays cant get chicken on Sunday or if Starbucks is funding Antifa. Just give me my damn coffee and chicken.

Same applies here. Give me my damn beer, football, and a good time. Y'all need to let the other stuff go in regards to the restaurant. The radio stuff I agree with. But Im always for new sports bars here.

Location is awful, as a few places have went there to die over the years, but it may do well for 2-3 years when UK is in session. After that, it will bleed out...probably in the same fashion as Jones' political aspirations.
