Eh the rumor is that he's St Johns bound. I don't see him working under Pitino but who knows. I'm definitely fine with him leaving. He played zero defense.

I really hope BG sticks around but he's rumored to be leaving too.

Not gonna be a high level starting level guard that is ok being a backup with vicious competition.

That may be true but that is what we need, lest we be stuck having to start Perry again next year when somebody gets hurt

I think he wants to be a starter and I don't blame him. I just don't see him being good enough to get most of the run at PG here. He is one of those guys who plays matador defense and can't stop the other PG. I appreciate his time here and wish him the best.

There are other possibilities:

1.) He is genuinely undecided.
2.) He would be interested in coming back but doesn’t want to give up leverage in post-season NIL negotiations.
3.) He is annoyed by the questions about his own career during a season that his team is still competing in.


I think it’s likely he will leave but it has nothing to do with his comments. Think people are reading too much into it

Up to 15 scholarships right? He can come back and add depth, but I can understand if he wants more minutes than he may see next year as his last go.

He may want more minutes or more money. He may have been told he’ll be taking a salary reduction next year if he stays here.

I think Pope is a good enough coach to win it all. I'm just worried he might not be able to get the horses to do it. Obviously he gets a pass this year given the circumstances, so let's see if he is able to in the next few years.
