That's seems to be true since he transferred out. But, my question is why? We all thought he was the obvious guy to plug in after Eli graduated. And, now, in what would be his 3rd year he's not going to play any? Looking at our presumed starting OL this coming year, it appears that all 5 starters will have come from the portal. That's a pretty bad look for the BBW and the 'recruit and develop' mantra we've been so proud of. Are the OL just plain not developing while in the program? Is that a function of missed evaluation, poor S&C and/or poor OL coaching? Seems like someone ought to be trying to ferret out the root cause. He wasn't seeing the field at UK next year.
Head coach and o line coach. Very sad. That's seems to be true since he transferred out. But, my question is why? We all thought he was the obvious guy to plug in after Eli graduated. Totally agreeIt's really hard to get excited over any HS recruit that may need any devlopment. Many/most of them leave before they ever hit the field.
Time to start getting excited about a RSFr at a G5 school putting up big numbers who went to HS in KY for likely portal targetsIt's really hard to get excited over any HS recruit that may need any devlopment. Many/most of them leave before they ever hit the field.
Guys get a couple years in and they want a chance to show they can play. No big deal. We’ve replaced the o line with better players. It’s the age we live in.Basically never got a sniff here and, presumably, wasn't going to now that Eli is gone, either. But, Miss St lands him and I'm guessing he's slated as a starter there. Is our OL that much better than theirs that Keenum couldn't get any PT at UK but may very well be a starter at MS St? Or might there be something else going on? Is the WKU C who just transferred so definitively better and we were a shoo-in to land him that Keenum knew he wasn't going to get any PT? Is it a personality conflict between Keenum and Wolford?
I mean, a potential starter at C shouldn't just up and leave unless he wasn't going to play (no other guy on the roster was considered a starting C to my knowledge prior to the WKU transfer) or the new transfer was always going to come here and start or Keenum/Wolford have serious relationship problems. Just seems odd as does Dylan Ray's transfer to MN whose OL has to be at least as good as ours and we had no place for him?
