Knox article with writer stating the 'Triangle' took a rare collective basketball loss

That dude is delusional . Duke even with duval is a top 10 team at very most and UNC with Bradley would be a top 20 team at very most. Neither had a chance to oust UK from preseason #1 like he said. UNC is going to be devoid of much talent even with Bradley back and without him seriously. I mean they are starting Felton , Berry , Pinson , Maye and then bradley . That is a 3rd or 4th place ACC team . Without Bradley they will have nothing inside . Duke needs a pg or they are screwed. If Jackson stays in the draft and they don't get Duval it will be a down year for Duke moreso then last season.

I live an hour from Raleigh. The Triangle losing this time.........jesus lovers what a bunch of. Um ya Gabriel, um ya Bam, um ya John Wall went to H.S. in Raleigh let's not forget.

Durham is a legit hole, and Chapel Hill is teeny tiny.

Reading this is mind-boggling since I live so close to it.

And that horse about Duke being loaded next season was probably the most inane thing the guy said. Duke won't be doing JACK next year.

Yeah, losing out on Bamba and Knox basically takes Duke out of the equation IMO. They have one legit returning player unless Jackson comes back. And the returning player is a hothead and probably cause of the turmoil on last year's team. Their incoming class, IF they get Duval and he is eligible, consists of 3 legit players (Carter, Duval, Trent) and another guy who might contribute down the line. Unless Bolden turns it around and actually lives up to the hype over him, they may have 4 good players and no real bench.

Just looked at Duke's rivals board and their fans are pretty sanguine surprisingly. They think they will have the 2 best guards in the country, and possibly 5 first rounders in the starting lineup. Ok.

College basketball fans in North Carolina are as bad, or worse, than Tennessee football fans. Only difference is UT is full of red necks and the Carolinas are full of the arrogant wine and cheese crowd, along with some NASCAR red necks.

Duke with Duval will be decently good next season . Without him they are a 8-10 loss team IMO in the ACC . Just look at that roster. LMAO And getting Allen back isn't a good thing as that nut job can't control his emotions and will have at least 1 more blow up . Can't believe they let him back .

durham is no more a than anywhere else. i live 3.5 miles from dook and nothing makes me happier than dook taking it from behind, but please do not paint with such a broad brush. there are lots of UK fans in durham!

I think that could put K into retirement. Something isn't right there. I really think K is a shadow of his younger self. I also think more and more of the day to day is being handed to Capel. It isn't working.

Duke just offered top-50 wing Jordan Tucker after getting dinged by Knox. He's visiting. Would be a more than decent consolation prize.

I know Ky does not always get every player they want but seem Coach Cal ends up with the No. 1 recruiting class every yr.

We have a lot of rednecks that are Big Kentucky Fans. Nothing wrong with rednecks. You must be a city boy.

Nope, not a city boy. "Redneck" is now used as to broad of a term. Now if you're a conservative, white, christian, republican that believes in capitalism and lives in the South you are considered a redneck. Being all those things I use the term endearingly to those people who blindly go about their business with no regards to the perception they create and the lack of caring. They believe what they believe, talk how they want to talk, offend who they want to offend, take pride in their ignorance and tell others to deal with it. My use of this term has nothing to do with me thinking I'm better than a redneck only that I think we all have a responsibility to be informed and to know why you believe what you believe, improve one's standing in the church, or community, and your circle of influence. My goal is to always be learning about a broad range of topics (sports included), not to change my beliefs but to reinforce them. You're not going to persuade anyone to your line of thinking if you don't know why you believe it to begin with; it was just passed down to you and it's how you may have been raised. Just my thoughts, and I honestly didn't mean to offend anyone by saying that. But according to social radicals out there, I'd be labeled a redneck just by where I live.
