Kid whose car was flipped - Go Fund Me

Evidently he was from Illinois and was just passing through…didn’t even realize a game was going on or what that could mean.

Id argue a week 2 game against a team we have a winning record against in the last 5 years didn’t warrant a final 4/sec east championship response on State Street

KSR said that on Monday and changed it today.

He is a student, the car has a Kentucky license plate in the video, and the GoFundMe is organized by his parents (from Walton).

I know a Saturn was badly damaged after the LSU win in ‘07.

Some sorority girls burned their couch too close to it and melted the synthetic panels on the drivers side. The owner pressed no charges.

Owner either was either in said sorority, had money to burn, or knew the people that did it.

No way if you vandalize my car that I’m not seeking some kind of restitution

Strangely, college kids never seem to set fire to their own frat or sorority houses. Might be a teachable moment opportunity in that little bit of irony. 🤔

I feel bad for him but I'm not kicking in when I have a $4K repair bill for my car looming right now. Don't park on State Street on big gamedays rookie. And to the idiots down there, don't flip cars. Burning couches however is cool. But leave people's ****ing cars alone. That shit is low class.
It just adds to the image of Lexington, KY which is pretty low at the moment. I imagine the cops just stood by and watched. Why not

This was no “regular” season game. This was potentially a springboard to a National Championship and all the college football literate UK vandals knew it and couldn't contain themselves because its been since the early ‘50s that the potential for a NC caliber season has been seen in the state of Kentucky!

Are you insane??? Springboard to a Natty?? Nope, springboard to a Natty is beating UGA and whoever west opponent is in SEC CHAMPIONSHIP game. Lose to UGA and the board is broken

WWE wouldn’t even allow this much oversell

You have to basically win them all and at UF was arguably our 2nd toughest game behind only Jawja, who UK will have in the Bluegrass, with a revenge factor x 12 and oh yeah barring injury we will have CRod !
LFG!!!!

Sarcasm noted, but all that side if you’re 20+ years old and don’t realize effing up someone else’s shit is wrong? Well. We have solutions for that.

Never made any sense to me to want to damage someone's property. Plus knowing my dad would beat the crap out of me if he found out, even as a college kid.

It absolutely didn't. I don't mind the couch burning even if I agree, it should be reserved for special occasions. Never an excuse to flip cars. Damaging other folks stuff is bushleague.
I’m all for kids having fun, but the car flipping was too far. Never damage someone else’s property!!

I hope the people who did this are punished!

All I gotta say is: If we beat Georgia and you are dumb enough to leave your car on State St. you deserve anything that happens to it.
So it's alright for a bunch of uncivilized savages to destroy what someone has worked for? No wonder our country is in the shape that's it's in.

There were no police on State St at the time due to multiple shootings with victims around the city. I think during this time there were 6 victims around the city suffering from gunshot wounds. By the end of the night, the total was 9. I think each one of those is of more importance than college kids flipping a car and burning couches. I agree, police should have been more prepared for State St. However, they would have had to pull their manpower anyways to deal with all the shootings around the city. Cut the police some slack, it’s not their fault. I know it’s cool to blame police for all of life’s problems, but think rationally before posting next time.

Covid College Kids that don't know how to act in public. Angry and trying to make up for two years of sitting in their parent's basements playing Minecraft.

And it was people like you who panicked and forced them there, so pipe down, Sport. Your post history is very clear on the issue.

I can appreciate you enthusiasm but do you really think UF is your 2nd toughest game? They are coming off a losing season, a new coaching staff and zero depth. At least 4 teams are better and possibly 5 SEC teams on your schedule are better that UF at this point.

I’ll only appreciate your enthusiasm if it is not followed by wrist-slitting posts should we drop a game or two this year.

All talent analytics trend against us winning a national championship, or staying w/I 14 of Georgia, but further advancement in the program is certainly possible, given a hot start.

For f*ck sakes, Covid has nothing to do with it. They been doing shit like this for years there

Direct quote from long-time UGA radio announcer Larry Munson following UGA’s bowl win securing the Natty in 1980: "MAN, is there gonna be some property destroyed tonight!"

The more things change, the more they stay the same.

I always thought that was after last second win over UF. Larry broke his chair that day. But it could have been the championship game too.

I’ll defer to a legit dawg fan. Still serves my point.

These dastardly young ruffians had some dastardly forebears.

Proper punishment….fine and community service during all of the remaining UK games so they can’t watch.

This is funny. The family of the kid whose car was flipped on state street after the win started a go fund me to get the kid a car. They reached their $5000 goal quick.
This is sick. Car flipping and couches being set on fire has been a given after every major football or basketball win. When will the cops put a stop to it instead of just watching it? Will some student have to get burned to death or crushed by an automobile before appropriate action is taken?

My post history is littered with inconsistencies and the stain of late night bourbon binges.
It is what it is. Cheers! 🍺

My 18 year old who is a freshman at UK promised he isn’t one of them. I guess I’ll find out LOL.
These clowns looked like seniors, maybe grad students, maybe not even, could just have been some drunk guys out of control. I’ve been drunk more than a few times in my life. Worse thing I ever did was give my keys to a girl who was more drunk than I was. But hey, she got the jumpsuit that night. I took a 🚕

True. But I’m sure it’s that way to an extent everywhere. It sure was in the late 70’s, early 80’s at WKU. And yeah, I pretty much was into some stuff I’m not proud of today.
