hate that he didn’t get the full Kentucky experience, but I get why he is leaving. I just hope he goes somewhere where he will actually get to play

Well we all saw that coming from 10 miles away…. Good luck to him wish he wouldn’t have got hurt but he stayed and cheered extra hard for the guys even after injured so early in the year! Best of luck Kerr!

Sucks man, I get why he did it but we really needs a backup PG and he was healthy by the tourney. I liked the dude so GL Kerr, you helped us beat Duke so I’m cool!
he would have played 17-20 minutes a game this season had he not gotten hurt....speaking of which, they should send him a bill for medical treatment since he is bailing on them

In cfb basically everyone enters the portal every year. Now cbb caught up and players will be doing the same.
At the very least youll have to renegotiate with anyone you have in hopes of keeping them out of the portal. Everyone else, that actually goes in, will be a bidding war.
Some of these guys seem like they are a cruise with ports of call . 3-4 schools in 3-4 years . Free agency in college hoops .. hope all those credits transfer .. ha ha
Just hope he doesn't go to a rival/SEC school. That will dramatically impact his standing with BBN.

The rumor a few weeks(months?) ago was he was going to St. Johns. I don't see that working out as he plays zero defense.
I'd be much more concerned if I thought Kerr was a starting level or even a back up piece. He's more than likely a 3rd string PG on next years roster.
Kudos to him for staying with the squad and being an ultimate team player on the sidelines.

All in all, I think it is the best move for Kentucky and him as well. Next year just isn't going to provide him with enough PT to justify him staying in role player mode when he could do better elsewhere for himself.

Yea I don’t get how all these kids stay eligible. My son transferred this past year and it was a pain to get schools to work in the credits and he is an accounting major so he had very standard pre req and business classes.
Further for these kids moving around so much that have no shot at pro sports, who is going to hire someone who jumps ship constantly?
Im not at all against the portal but the 4 schools in 4 years of some of these guys is crazy.
You still have to be showing academic progress to be eligible and meet certain minimum credit hours.
