Kerr Kriisa's assists today

It might very well be one of those years, where, any given game, it will be a different player that will have the opportunity to have a leading role on a team of leading role type guys.

They're that experienced and that well put together by coach Pope. Let the rest of the country sleep on Kentucky. I suspect we won't be "under the radar" much longer....

Kriisa 6 points, 12 assists, 1 block (2/5 from 3) .... just another lil note to take away. Nice game, kudos Cats' !!! Lots of room to get better, too.

Loved the look with 5 players in double digit points again, another 100 point game. The rebounding was noticeably better, too. The emphasis looked clear.

Bring on dUKe !

The behind the back pass got him some splinter time.
And should’ve. Careless. It’s an interesting dynamic. Butler isn’t much of a passer or facilitator. Not much of a finisher, but he is capable of getting downhill. And boy can he defend. But Kriisa is the straw that stirs the drink when he’s in. After watching four games I honestly think the best lineup is Kriisa/Brea/Robinson/Oweh/Williams. The top 7 are all interchangeable. I think there’s a pretty significant drop off after that. I know some are enamored with Garrison, but he’s pretty rough. Almonor and Chandler are limited. Of the three, I think Almonor has the biggest chance to make an impact this season. Knocks down shots and has extremely high IQ on the court.

Chandler looked realll rough today on both ends. Really careless with the ball in the first half. Almost like he was fighting nerves after the initial turnover and it snowballed.

Kid just had a 12 assist game and you nit picking his defense. Only UK fans.
It was an opinion reply regarding whether he and Butler will play 20/20 every game at PG … if he plays significantly less minutes than Butler, that would be the reason, other than foul trouble. Kriisa will play a lot and deserves to, of course, but Butler’s defense is special and it will be needed in close games against teams with active guards.

Kriisa can play the off-guard … so he will get minutes there, too.

We are all going to have to learn to accept the bad with the good when it comes to Kerr. You can't have the flashy, incredible assists without some turnovers too. Nature of the beast.

Speaking of beast, Butler on defense. Best defensive guard we have had in a while.

I suspect in a tight game, key possession.... we might see Butler just because of the defense and more sure ball handling.

Koby is an assassin.

I say use Butler to get the opponent out of their offense, and use Kriisa to dismantle the opponent's defense :)

Chandler is barely a step above our freshmen in terms of experience but he has the frame and athleticism to br something in year 2 and 3. Just needs to be able to have some kind of consistent offense.

Almonor is a great backup to have who is a 3pt threat when others are getting a breather. Garrison is a good size body with five fouls and great effort. Unless one of these three guys somehow becomes a locker room problem (basically unthinkable with the team coach pope has put together) it is a blessing that they are guys 8 through 10.

Garrison can get a little selfish at times trying to make a move down low when the defense has collapsed on him instead of kicking it out to a wide open shooter. He missed a little hook jumper over three guys while Brea stood all by himself at the top of the key. Have seen similar from him three or four times so far.

It’s crazy that Brea could miss his next eight three pointers and still be shooting a better percentage than he did last season

He’s just clueless on offense. Tries to do way too much and has no feel for the flow. Hopefully it gets better, but unless Williams is in foul trouble you really don’t need much more than 5-8 mins from Garrison. And he’s a really good option for that role.

Chandler seems like a great kid, but he’s not going to be a regular rotation player once the heat is on in the SEC.
I agree but considering his 2 years away from the game I expect his improvement from freshman to sophomore to be way more than normal, as in breaking out and making himself a draftable player.

Yes, I would imagine there is room for improvement after his 2nd game as a sophomore 😂

I agree wholeheartedly with this!!!very happy with our team but I have no clue what our fans are seeing in Garrison? Extremely raw. Lots of potential but extremely limited and raw rn. I think Chandler will be a really good player for us, in the next year or 2.
