Kerr has a Foot/Ankle injury.

Pope during the game after Kriisa went down was like Martin Brody, still popping off shots as the ship went down and making sure he's got one last blast ready for the kill shot.

Hope it’s not his Achilles.
Maybe I’m wrong, but unlike an ACL tear where you can still move a bit—I don’t think you can have much mobility with a torn Achilles. Didn’t he get back on defense on the play he got hurt? Every time I’ve seen the Achilles tear they go down and stay down. Not a doctor though, obviously.

Hopefully a high ankle sprain but idk.

I’ve been around 2 people when they snapped their Achilles. Both went down like they were shot and neither got up by themself . I don’t know if that’s the case every time or with a partial tear though.

Yeah he got back on defense. I highly doubt it’s that, but just hope it’s a relatively standard ankle roll. Not a broken toe, fracture, or something that needs surgery.

Yeah that’s always been my impression when seeing it on TV. I just watched the replay because I only caught it in passing live. He not only stumbled back on defense, but also contested the shot and jumped while doing so after planting off both feet.

He could be out for a while, but I’m hopeful that it’s not a season ender. Him getting back on defense like that was not only commendable but also makes me think he’ll be back eventually. Might be January but that’s alright if so.

I initially thought it was a cramp. But based on Pope and the KSR crews reaction after the game it seems it may be something much more serious. The way he favored it in the locker room after the game and based on those two reactions I fear it’s something much worse. My guess is Achilles and if that’s what it is that just proves how tough he is if he tore that and got back on defense the way he did. That usually makes grown men cry. Here’s to hoping it isn’t.

The problem could be that if its a calf injury or something WITH the Achilles, such as tendinitis, you're now that much more susceptible to something like an actually Achilles rupture or tear. You see it in football a lot, where they take Calf injuries pretty seriously. It's why CMC sat out so long and flew across the globe just to get some answers on his bilateral tendinitis: because it can often be the precursor to an actually tear and that's about the worst injury you can have in sports like Football and Basketball especially.

Hopefully it's not too bad or it's just a tweaked ankle. I do think it's good news if he was able to finish the play.

If you can only have seven turnovers playing in Seattle against the number 7 Gonzaga with a great point guard.....then we're good with Jaxson Robinson at point guard until they're ready to come back.
💯.
Matter of fact we might have found something in Robinson. He was reminding me of SGA. The Great One.
Who does that?

Seems that if he has the ball in his hand he's more useful across the board. He will shoot better, he'll create better, everything will be better if he's playing point guard you can tell.
It unlocks him.
Does he really have the handles for it though? I guess you can find out over the next few games.

It all depends on an individual's pain tolerance. My son completely tore his ACL, strained his MCL, and tore his meniscus in 4 places and walked off the field without any help. He returned and tried to play but his knee kept giving out. We all thought his knee cap was dislocating. Didn't know it was this serious until the MRI.

Kirssa did hit a couple of shots early and did play with passion but I don't think his negative points (what the other team scores when he's on the floor) improved, we were behind the whole time he was on the floor. I will take Robinson as backup pg over someone who is our best floor slapper.

Tore mine in 2016. On a full tear, you can hear it pop in your head. It felt like someone hit me in the Achilles with a full sand wedge.

Is it possible to injure the Achilles without actually tearing it half? That's what most sprains are - injury to the ankle ligaments without complete separation.

I tore my calf muscle partially off the bone playing tennis and it reminded me of Kerr. I originally thought it was just a cramp because it balled up like a major cramp. I actually finished that game. But then it started burning and bruising. My whole ankle and foot was black and blue from the internal bleeding.

Was in a boot for 8 weeks. Talked about surgery but it reattached enough on its own. My left calf is still smaller than my right.

Hope that didn’t happen to Kerr.

wow, maysville ! Hope you're doing better. I myself simply took one step down the steps here at home and my ACL started to buckle. ONE STEP nearly got me. With a broken back, one small misstep for me, and I could go back into a wheelchair.

I hate to see any of the kids get injured, period.

Speaking of which, I heard Bryce Harper was injured. Hadn't heard an update about him. I do wish him the best as well as for Kerr tog et back to 100%. We so need him !

Go Big Blue !

He tweaked it. Didn’t look too bad but it also looked like he might have had a previous injury that he reaggravated. He was messing with it for a while before the actual injury. Reached down and touched it or adjusted it 3 or 4 times that I saw on rewatch.

Might be a little of a twisted ankle, knee tweak. Just came down odd due to the twist. Might be why he was held out. But post game he was still limping very hard (by video I saw).

Could be a calf strain. I had a bad one a few years back. Hurts in the spot he was grabbing. If that’s what it is we gotta pray it’s not a grade 2. He will be out a number of weeks with that. Grade 1 would be less obviously. Grade 3 means it’s off the bone and it isn’t that since he was still trying to run around

Hope it’s not his Achilles.

I don't think it was a tear. From what i understand, a tear just makes your foot basically stop working.

It definitely looks more serious than just an ankle. A normal ankle injury doesn't have issues way up in the calf.

Obviously im not a dr, but it doesn't look good imo.

Kriisa may not be the best stats guy on the team, but huge respect for him getting up and trying to defend the layup on one leg. I initially thought he hurt his ankle on the layup, but the replay showed he did it on the errant pass to Brea. You can question some of his shots/decisions and defense. You can’t question his heart. Get well soon Kerr. This team needs you.

Hope he is back soon.

But heaven forbid it is serious and season ending, where does he stand on a medical redshirt?

Could he return next season?

I partially tore my calf muscle about 18 years ago. It felt like someone pulled a razor blade across the back of my leg. I didn't have to have surgery but my muscle has scare tissue across it and my calf muscle looks shorter than the other one on my left leg.
