Cats vs Tigers. Mason Hazelwood gets the start tonight.

To say UK needs this series is a huge understatement. A sweep would be nice but 2 out of 3 must happen is UK has any hope for thr NCAA. Lose this series, the season turns ugly really fast. Lineups coming soon

Glad you started this I thought we were playing on Friday

Already to the 4th in less than 40 minutes. This thing is moving well. Lol

That’s a terrible break for UK. That ball should have been in play instead of a ground rule double (ball got stuck at the bottom of a gate)!

That's wedged. It's a ground rule double all day. UK got a break that Plastiak wasnt out on the called foul ball.

7-3 Cats. Huge 4th with 5 runs for UK. Missouri showing no signs of life. It's weird.

This is wild. First batter for Missouri to the wall in right and barely caught by Fogel. Next batter absolutely murders one, same spot but no doubt out. 7-4.

This guy leaving everything up.

UK going to win this. Baseball gods seem to be favoring us. That Church bloop hit is example of.

Kentucky gets the first two on and then strikes out three straight times. 😡😡😡😡😡😡

The weird thing is, he’s only thrown 71 pitches. But has allowed 7 runs. Baseball is weird.

He's thrown strikes but left the ball up and in the middle a whole lot and UK has crushed every single one of them. Just not sharp in that sense. Hazelwood doing a much better job of painting corners but is also leaving some up.

Church ends the inning with the K, but I still think he is seeing the ball pretty well. Big boost to our lineup and I trust him more than Fogel or even Ritter right now. Cats up 9-4

They’re playing really good tonight. UK seems to have Missouri’s number for some reason. We really need the wins as I don’t see many more in the SEC.

It'll be interesting from here. I've seen a lot of baseball where it seems like you use all your hits and runs in 1 game and then lose the series from not being able to score in the next two. I specifically remember similar happening against USC in 2017... scored 19 on Friday and 1 Saturday. We did win the Sunday game though. So, does this wake the offense or are we just having a hell of a game or what?

This offense has always seemed capable of beating pitchers that don't bring good stuff. If a pitcher makes mistakes, they take advantage. So how sharp the rest of the Missouri staff is will determine our fate I think.

Had a meeting tonight and kind of forgot about the game. Was 14-5 when I checked. Wow! I'm just going to have to rewatch this. 19 hits will be worth the time.

Hitting has been really inconsistent all year.

About the best possible opening series result for Kentucky: only used two pitchers, had 7 multi hit batters, no errors, went through 4 pitchers for Missouri.

The likely starter, Neubeck, for Missouri leads them in walks and is 2nd in strikeouts. The 6 strikeouts tonight was the fewest we've had in the SEC this year. Their 3rd weekend starter is Austin Marozas. That name sounds familiar to me. Ha! Had to look it up. He redshirted at Kentucky in 2018.

Didn't need to even look up the name. The moment I read it I remembered he was here. He was one of our top recruits
