Cats need to bounce back in SEC play. Our chance starts tonight... wearing the creams.

1-0 Auburn going to the bottom of the third. Mize mowing UK batters down quickly and efficiently thus far.

Mize gives up a two-out single to Dawson and another single to Pompey. Then Squires singles home Dawson with an 0-2 count. Aklinski strikes out swinging to end the frame. Tied at 1-1.

Becker crushes a solo shot in the fourth that landed well beyond the Cliff. Heyer then doubles down the left field line, but is stranded when Johnson hits a soft flare to third and Cottam k's for the second time tonight (Cottam not comfortable up there at all against Mize).

Mize is nasty. Strikes out Dawson, Pompey, and Squires in the bottom of the fifth. Pitch count is approximately 72.

Great game so far, kind of a pitcher's duel. Let's hope we can beat the #1 pitcher in the SEC tonight and get weekend off to a good start.

Another f---ing wild pitch. This team is starting to wear me out. 4-2 auburn going to bottom of 7th. horrible inning by our pitchers.

Well wth....get home in time to catch the last bit of the game and Cayts are down 4-2?!?!?! C'mon boys!

Man, i'm starting to have doubts about this team. Pitching is not what we thought, and not a ton of clutch hitting. Staring at an 0-4 SEC start.

I just got home to. Have they all been wild pitches? Or is Squires having trouble too?

Dick Gabriel is saying that their have been four wild pitches, though it's debatable that 1 or two of them are on squires...

Good catch by Aklinski. We sure aren't getting the low strikes with Ramsey. He wasn't missing by much on a couple of those. I've seen them called strikes many a night.

I will have to quit bitching about the lack of clutch hitting. Doesn't get any more clutch than that...Luke Heyer with a 2 run homer in bottom of 9th.

Wow! Auburn had done so well on the mound until the bottom of the ninth.

OMG, what a great comeback! I went to the game, and left after 7 (sorry, got cold) but watched the end of it, tremendous to come back and steal a win against the Tigers. No sooner than I said "I am afraid we are not as good as I thought" to my wife, we hit the 2 run HR.

As an aside, that Mize kid is one hell of a pitcher.

Huge win for Kentucky. Way to battle back! With hitting like that this UK team should never be out of a game.
