Kentucky up to #8 in AP

And they jumped FAU with 2 Ls ahead of us too.

We have to beat top 10 teams to move up while everyone else can beat nobodies and soar.

Cant wait to see their faces after we reel off 20 in a row.

We dont play at TN until March 9 and dont play at Ole Miss.

I see the potential for a loooong win streak.

If UK wins at #34 Aggies I see the Cats coasting in the month of Jan. Schedule gets significantly tougher come Feb:

UK has a legit shot at being 18-2 heading into Feb and riding a 12 gm win streak and ranked #1 while seeing #6 TN come to Rupp.

Tell me Im wrong and by then no telling how good we will be!

So seton hall destroys UConn and they don’t go down in the polls any lmao…. When have we ever lost and not went down 5 spots
Losing to UNC Wilmington is going to haunt us until we run off at least 8 in a row to offset it. Just a horrible loss for us. If we would have won that game, we would be in the top 3.

Also, U Conn is the defending National Champs, they will get some leeway then you add the Northeastern bias and you have them not dropping even after a bad loss.

Arizona and UConn both lose and neither moved a spot. Must be nice to have AP poll immunity. There's no universe where UK loses by 15 to a 8-5 Seton Hall team and doesn't drop a single spot
Thank you. I guess Im not losing my marbles on this garbage poll!

UK lost to Wilmington at Rupp. We have no real argument here unless UK keeps rolling.
Yes hell we do.
No Wagner, No Ugo, No Z and though Bradshaw played it was his 1st game back after the broken foot and he clearly played tentative and his mins. were limited.

You guys need to stop sweeping this under the rug cause Im getting tired of typing all these characters!

Seton Hall ranked 88 in Net, UNCW 107, fairly close losses. We didn't get beat by 15 like they did either. It's not blue tinted glasses on this one, it's real media bias.

You.cant get beat by 15 to the 88th ranked team, then barely beat St John's and not drop a single spot.

Not to mention a 3 loss Tennessee in front of us as well?

Florida is good and we open up SEC play in Gainesville. Not gonna be easy.

FAU with the big jump ahead of us. 10-2 with a good resume (like us) but a loss to 8-6 powerhouse Bryant.

Bullshit its one upset game period. Beat unc at a neutral floor since then. No way in hell UT and FAU should be aheadcof us.
Not sure I get UT being ahead of us at all. One W against top 25 and a loss to UNC which we obviously beat. They have 3 losses, we have 2. All of their losses have been to top 15 teams but still only one top 20 W. Not really the resume to being ranked # 7 in the country at the moment. Not that big of a deal but it still doesn’t change the fact that it makes no sense.

Once again the liberal east coast lamestream media is biased for Kentucky.
We are #19 in kenpom
Marquette much better resume two spots behind.
Best a Kansas team we could not.
We should not stand for it and demand these reporters drop us because we don't deserve this high of a ranking.

Look I think we are better than FAU, but its resume is signficiantly better than ours.
How so? They have wins over #12 Texas A&M and #4 Arizona with losses to # 20 Illinois and 8-6 Bryant.

We have wins over #8 Miami (huge blowout) and #9 UNC and losses to #1 Kansas and 9-2 UNCW.

How is FAU’s resume better than ours period, much less significantly?

I agree with you... obviously, the UNCW loss is terrible, but FAU shouldn't have jumped as much as they did. Like the Cats win over Miami, the FAU win over aTm doesn't look quite as good at this point considering their record and they've dropped out of the top 25.

And the AZ win is only slightly better than the UNC win, and the loss to Bryant appears worse than a loss to UNCW at this point.

I don't have a major issue that Cats are being penalized for a bad home loss, but I think other teams should be penalized for losses as well.

Plus, It's early, and if the Cats keep winning, they will climb the polls...however, there is certainly a reasonable argument they should be above both TN and FAU.

Miami sucks and isn’t ranked.

They have two better wins than us.

1 better win in AZ, yes.

Who is the 2nd? As I stated above, aTm and Miami were both highly ranked when FAU and UK respectively won against them, but as it stands... both FAU and UK each have 1 win against a team currently ranked in the top 25.

They also each have a loss against a team currently ranked in the top 25...
#12 ILL for FAU
#9 UNC for UK

Again, the Cats will have plenty of opportunity to move up the polls, but their resume is just as good as FAU and better than UT's... who has more losses including to a team these same Cats beat as well as a worse loss to Kansas (it was a double digit deficit until the end of the game compared to the close overtime game Kansas had with UK).

It's early, and the Cats just need to take care of business till March.
