Kentucky to raise price of men's basketball tickets

So do we but if I could afford season tickets I would pay it cuz I'm crazy just like the rest on this board:stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

That is cheap anyway 1100 for what 20 home games. $55 a seat for lowers, considering the good games go on stub hub for 500-1000 a seat for one game.

I don't know about putting food on the table, but he's put one hell of a product on the court, and when you do that you can charge more for a superior product.

Yup, just 4 losses at home in 6 years. Not too shabby. I still SMH at 3 of those 4, but you can't argue with the product overall, and especially not at Rupp.

When you add it all up, the experience is priceless but there are negatives. Increased parking and food costs. Narrow bench seats in the upper deck. Access to those seats during the game. The majority of the marquee games in the Cal era have frankly occurred in neutral sites. And yeah, ticket cost increases. Those same upper level seats priced @ merely $27 not that long ago are now priced dynamically with some games approaching a 200% increase.

Per KSR - Even with the jump, UK season tickets are still cheaper than those at other top programs such as Duke, Kansas and UCLA. :basketball:

Cameron hold like just over 9,000 and Allen Field House 16,000 of course they will be more expensive due to the limited seating.
While UK has one the largest seating capacities with large prices.

"Season tickets for the lower level in 23,000-seat Rupp Arena will increase from $945 to $1,140 each. Upper-level tickets will rise from $840 to $950 each." The minuscule price difference of less than $200 ea between upper and lower season tix seems very strange to me, especially when you consider that all uppers are rock-hard bleachers while the lowers are chairback seats.

I have nosebleed upper level season tix, literally one row from the very top of Rupp (Row JJ), I don't pay anything additional above and beyond the actual ticket price. Does anyone know if there are any lower level seats where the owners pay only face value without any additional fees (i.e. mandatory donations to the K-Fund, etc)

I believe you answered it. The K-fund is the real difference. Corporate America has spoken to UK, the NCAA, SEC and others, loud and clear.

They are worth as much as someone is willing to pay. It's that simple.
