Kentucky TBT commitments so far

Need a couple "younger" guys. Best player last year (Kanter's brother) wasn't even a UK player. Nice run last year, just need a couple studs. IMO.

I’d love to see wall and cousins back. I would also love to see Patrick Patterson back. I haven’t heard anything from him since he left. One of my favorite players of all time. He and Jodie Meeks were the stars that shown brightest in our darkest days.

I’d love to see one of my other favorite players, Darius Miller back. I play world of Warcraft and I named a character of mine after Miller. He was the glue to that 2012 team.

Looks like the Harrisons are rejoining too.
Andrew Harrison, Aaron Harrison, Doron Lamb, Deandre Liggins, and WCS so far. That’s a great team put together so far.

Isaiah Briscoe would be really good in this format. Patterson, Miller, and Meeks would be dream adds but we absolutely need a couple more guys who are in their playing prime. Derek Willis and Nate Sestina would be great. Where’s Reid Travis? Kellan Grady? Davion Mintz?

It makes zero sense.

Everyone trying to use the legal system to ruin everything we love in sports.

Just leave it alone.

Gottlieb has always been, and will always be, a complete and total tool.
I’m saying it makes sense for a small school that wants to do their overseas tour and play against pro/older players but that costs a lot of money. Just play in the TBT and (not win anything) but save money on travel costs.

Why does it make zero sense?

I don’t really see a sound argument against it. The NCAA already lets teams play in summer overseas tournaments where they play against pro teams, so what’s the difference if they just do this instead of that? And the prize money is no longer an issue now that CBB players can be paid.

So why not allow it?

I think it takes away from the purpose, and the enjoyment of the fan. Which if Green Bay is allowed, what would stop it from becoming a straight college event?

I agree with this. Part of the appeal is UK alum playing n it. Same with other teams I'm sure.

As I said n another thread this dog crap green bay team would gett annihilated game 1 anyways.

Maybe the fact that most college teams would get their asses kicked by a team full of older seasoned pros?

I normally don't like Gottlieb, but I think his logic is rock solid on this one. The NCAA already allows one overseas trip every four years. But the problem is underfunded little mid-majors like UWGB can't afford to those trips. The money for it just ain't in their budget. So why not let them do this instead?

Makes perfect sense to me.

Give me (I doubt Wall would play, being that he doesn't need a pay check).

Brandon Knight - G
Eric Bledsoe - G
Jodie Meeks - G
Doron Lamb - G
DeAndre Liggins - G
Andrew Harrison - G
Aaron Harrison - G
T-Mac - F (just for shizz and giggles)
Terrence Jones - F
Boogie Cousins - C
Nerlens Noel - C
WCS - C

Go four-guard lineups.

The entry fee is $15,000 per team, plus they still need travel costs, most teams still need to travel and cover a couple of week's worth of hotels, food, flights, etc.

Might save a few bucks depending on where the foreign tour is played, but it's not like it would be monumental savings.
