5 would be nuts! Have to think we're a 3 with small chance we wind up a 4.
If we get a 3 seed it seems like the only 2 choices for the 2 seed would be Mich St or St Johns

3 is obvious here. What justification is there for a 4 or even 5?

They will send us West as the 3 with St. John’s or Michigan St. most likely St. John’s for the Pitino vs. Pope storyline. Florida will be our 1 seed. UofL will be our 6 and Drake will be the 11.
If they lower us to a 4, then we will be sent East with Duke for the potential rematch in the Sweet Sixteen.
We are the last 3 seed based on Conference and Quad 1 wins. We will be in West.
If Duke is the overall 1 seed, then would Duke be in Atlanta? They are much closer to Atlanta than Newark.
Or do they give them a choice and let them pick Newark? I’m sure they would prefer Newark especially considering they would likely face a SEC team as their 2. Better to play Bama or UT in Newark than Atlanta.

I think St John’s is more likely to be placed with Louisville. That makes for better TV than Pitino vs Pope.
The news releasing of BUTLER WILL PLAY IN THE TOURNEY AND HIS TEAMMATES ARE GRATEFUL news being out late last night or early this morning is to save the 3 seed. I think the committee is teetering on the KENTUCKY as a 3 or4 seed and this news came out to stop that line of thought.

They can do both. St johns as 2, UK as 3 and ul as 6. I mean I guess ul can be their 7. Idk what seeed everyone is projecting UL as.
Lol wtf how are we a 5? Even if Butler was announced out I dont see how you can drop us to a 5. With him being good to go no lower than a 4.
We have enough quad 1 wins to be a 3. Our resume holds up as a 3.

If there was a percentage below 0%, that would be our chance of a 5 seed.
Everyone in the media seems to think we are a 3 seed, so I’m guessing the NCAA will seed us lower than expected. I expect a 4. A 5 wouldn’t surprise me, even though I don’t think it is justifiable in any possible way, but they could just say we were a 4 but had to be moved a seed like for some such bullshit.

Who on the 4 line here is passing UK? A 5? Zero percent chance. Just don’t see how we are not a 3. Just too many quad 1 wins not to be.
UCLA or Illinois will be our 6 if I had to guess.

So they are gonna have 2 sec teams as 1 seeds and 2 as 2 seeds and then drop UK to a 4 or 5? We beat a and m and Missouri and 1 seed Duke and 1 seed Florida.
There's no way we aren't a 3.
I will say last year most of us didn't think we would get a 3 and we did. 2 years ago many were surprised we stayed a 6 seed. Once again showing conference tourney results are almost meaningless.
UofL makes sense as our 3.

BYU is also a projected 6 seed.

I could see then dropping UofL to the 7 to face Pitino and UK playing BYU as the 6 seed.

St. Johns is a 4 according to the NET. They'll be a 2.
Gonzaga is a 2 according to the NET. They'll be an 8/9.
Sparty is a 3 according to the NET. They'll be a 2.
It's the whole picture, and the industry is pretty much all aligned and in consensus that we are a 3.
If we aren't a 3, I'll be SHOCKED.
Now last year, EVERYONE thought we'd be a 4 seed after the loss to A&M in Nashville, and we stuck a 3 still. Committee doesn't always hate us as much as people think.
UK does not just have Quad 1 wins. We have the highest quality Quad 1 wins of anybody. Eight wins against the Top 15. We beat two #1 seeds. We swept two games against a #2 seed. We won on the road against Texas A&M and Missouri.
We get a #3.

Based on our resume, it should be a 3. Based on what we actually ARE (injuries lack of depth), a 4 or worse.
