UK had the 2nd straight bad game from 3 point range making 7 of 26 but due to the other good shooting and out rebounding them we still won by 29. Considering we played our worst defensive game of the year by a mile I'd say not too bad. This was our last true cupcake so I'd attribute the poor defense to just knowing subconsciously that the game was going to be an easy one, in other words a let down game that happens to all teams on occasion. The good news is they keep showing they can win in different ways and we came close to having a fifth guy lead the team in scoring with Roginson edging out Butler by two points. Free throws could have done it for you Lamont but keep working on it; the stroke looks fine.

Looks like teams are trying to drive UK off the 3 pt line and they are going to the hole or posting up to take advantage of the spacing. Smart team , I think over time the will improve more and more and they play more minutes together.

33 out 41 on two's. Damn.
Thats more impressive than shooting 45% from 3 imo.
Not hitting 3's but still getting all your twos is pretty nice work

I was at the game tonight and the fans were insane. Pope has brought electricity back into the Rupp chapel, even vs. “gimmie” opponents and with an alumni band and an “old” Eruption Zone. KY basketball is back in good hands with Pope, no matter how we win and how we score.

Not impressive enough according to some fans on this board…if you can’t enjoy this level of offensive execution compared to Calipari’s outdated system…I don’t know what to tell you!
It's like people are gun shy on being optimistic, confident and excited. Every feeling is laced with "Cal Caution", because, well, Cal.

I'm done with Cal Caution. I'm confident in this team and have no concerns about Clemson, Gonzaga, UL, Ohio State or most of the SEC.

We beat Duke for crying out loud. But then all we hear around here thanks to Cal Caution is "well, it was a neutral court...so I'm holding back excitement".

We aren't losing to Clemson. We aren't losing to UL, Ohio State, Gonzaga or any of these non-con wanna bes. The days of Cal Caution are done for me, and should be for all of the rest of our fans.

Yeah it sounded fun and much more loud than usual. But keep in mind the holiday crowds are different than the typical season ticket holder as many of these fans are seeing their first game ever at Rupp (and frankly, at least to me, these are the 'real' fans).

Not taking away from Pope as he definitely has revived our program. I just wish every crowd behaved like it was their first game at Rupp.

True, but the games I’ve been to this season do seem a bit more electric than last season. Some apathy had set in toward the end of Cal’s reign, so it’s nice to see a little more pep in the step of the fans in attendance. That said, the holiday crowd did indeed bring it (heck, no one even asked me to sit down like I often get asked to do). Hopefully that excitement becomes infectious and hits a crescendo during SEC play.
