Has this ever happened before in college basketball history?

Before you start throwing numbers back in my face prorate the men's minutes out as compared to whoever else out there you want.

I think there have been a few college centers that were both, e.g. Wilt Chamberlain at Kansas, Bill Russell at San Francisco, Lew Alcinder (Kareem) and Bill Walton at UCLA, etc. And I still think Okafor is just a tad better than KAT offensively although Karl has definitely closed the gap lately.

Sure one player as both many moons ago but again, the best defensive and best offensive together? Has to be a rare combination.

As for as Dukafor being better than Towns I'm not buying it. Early in the season yes, now, no.

Anthony's davis was pretty close to both around tourney time.

Very underrated offensive player here.

Bowie
Turpin

Revised...just realized that Ewing was the same year.

Kaminsky is the best offensive center. Take off your Big Blue Blinders for a minute.

Kaminsky can shoot the three but inside Ill take Karl thank you very much. Towns is becoming a force to be reckoned with!

If Towns were in Kaminsky's situation, he would have stats equal to or more than Kaminsky. They play head to head, I'll take Towns, without a doubt. This is why he's #1 in my book.

Karl is coming along no doubt. Kaminsky can score inside, can dribble in the lane w/o losing it, and is a great passer. I think
he's the player of the year but he probably won't get it because of the Dookie.

Yep. Nicely stated.

Towns is the best on offense and on D only WCS is better.
So your saying UK has the two best defensive centers in all the land.
