Kentucky is only 1 of 3 teams with 6+ quad 1 wins

The guy I trust the most has Kentucky as a 2 seed #6 overall.

What are people looking at ? Who is ahead of then to push them down to a 3 seed.

They are not going to finish the year as a 2 seed there are too many tough games but right now they are a 2 seed and Joey brackets is off having them as a 3 seed.

If you average out all 6 of those, you get 14 ( I THINK ! 😂) I'm not sure if there's 13 better teams out there this year, but it's close to where we're at. Not far off at all.

Going 5-1 against the top 15 this year (so far) is definitely exceedingly successful, especially considering how insanely difficult the SEC is this year.

Preseason I thought I was being overly optimistic (but that's just me, an optimistic and positive person) by thinking we'd only lose 8 games and nab a 3 seed in the NCAAT.

Seeing how "some other" more experienced coaches are doing this year, relative to coach Pope, I am just grateful we're experiencing this kind of year, period.

Fun stuff and times !

Just to be clear we should be a #2 seed right now but that schedule is so brutal I could see us falling all the way down to a 6 seed by the end of the season. This is why we had to have the Bama win and why we have to have the Vandy win.

The schedule is so outrageous. Just look at the road games then add in Tenn and Auburn at home.

They did us no favors.

We could be 4. We could be 24 lol.

I always find it funny that some are always like no we are DEFINITELY Z rated. Who knows. The teams are close lol. Reasonable minds can disagree lol.

Joke as usual. Has us not even the top 3 seed but KU is a 2.

Funny look at next game Big 12 and ACC combined play a few teams in the field while SEC almost every game is against a team projected in and most ranked.

Dook is getting so much credit for beating up on bums. They have 1 impressive win. An SEC road win should count double this year, especially against ranked teams. Meanwhile Dooks beating up on bums (last 3):

@BC 9-9 225th

Half the ACC has a .500 or losing record. The SEC not 1 school is .500 or worse.

TBF Duke can only play the teams on the schedule.
They are outscoring their opponents in conference play to the tune of 0.36 ppp.

That's insanity. The ACC is weak this year but it's still a power conference. You just don't see those numbers typically in a power conference.

For reference 2012 UK outscored their SEC opponents by .27.
2015 UK outscored their SEC opponents by .26.

Their resume is going to suck. It won't stack up compared to other teams and that's why I think if they drop just a few ACC games, they will slip.

But they are very solid.

Looking at our upcoming schedule, Pope better figure this defense out, because if he doesn't, we could drop a lot of games that will take our projected seed way down.
The more I look into our defense, the more disturbing it becomes.
A lot of coaches at the mid major level are good offensive minds, but not very good on the defensive side. Pope fits that description so far. He may need to hire a defensive minded assistant over the summer.

I think although it needs to be said......this team even with the crappy defense has knocked off teams like Duke, Florida, Gonzaga etc.

IDK, I think Vandy gets us. My only hope is Pope pulls some magic this week during the long break and tries some different things on defense.

We aren't just the worst defense in tge SEC, we would be the worst defense in most of the power 6 leagues. That's pretty bad, especially when we have 3 really good defenders.
