Well, we better win a title this season. Cause right now we’re having poor regular seasons and short March runs.

He's taking the high road and basically calling out the fans for being too extreme, unreasonable. Given the current situation, one can't just call out the fans in this way without also mentioning what has brought them to this point. And that includes coaching mismanagement and malpractice.

There is not going to be an ambassador role for cal at UK, when cal is done coaching either on his own or by virtue of a buyout there will be a clean break. Uk cannot go out and get a top notch level coach like they will need knowing cal is still part of the program. Only room for one chief in a tribe. Not to mention cal has become a cancer of the program and most everyone wants him gone.

I agree. I don’t think he will do the ambassador thing.

There are those who view our program number 1. It doesn’t matter who the coach is it’s about the prestige of our program. Then there are cal fans.

Why is the battle only between those in the fanbase? What is the catalyst that precipitated the polarization?
Local media have to start calling Calipari out for the obvious.

As far as expectations go...this team needs to get to the Elite Eight or it's been a wasted year IMO. Doing that means they are in the hunt for a FF. That's plenty for me just about any year.
But, occasionally we NEED to break through.

I think you’re right about that, I think there’s a chance he moves into his ambassador role which means that he gets $1m/year and moves to Nashville and has very little to do with UK otherwise.

It’s the world the kids that got participation trophies and orange slices w juice boxes after their soccer games have created.

Just win games. Compete for championships. That’s the expectation. Thats why the person hired, was hired. Do it or leave and bring someone else in that can. Pretty simple really.

It’s a shame those kids went out and got themselves those participation trophies, orange slices and juice boxes and ruined themselves. Doubly a shame the parents who knew better didn’t stop them going down that path.
