With the go ahead run at third UK gets back to back infield pop ups for outs one and two from Schultz and Collett. Rhodes then strikes out.
Terrible hitting by the top of the lineup.

Georgia also got a guy to third with less than 2 outs but UK gets out of it Daniels came in to get the last out. 4-4
There was 1 out when Collett came up and UGA changed pitchers, but yea, UK gas runners at 2nd and 3rd with 0 outs. Schultz and Collett popped up on the infield and Rhodes struck out.
The Church experiment probably needs to end. 3 of his last 35. That's just not cutting it and UK could move things around to get better hitting and better defense if they replaced him.
Feel the same with Daniel's and Church. Georgia playing good fundamental baseball. Getting guys on base and doing what it takes to get them across the plate. That 5th inning was a game changer.
UK apparently can't get 2 innings out of a pitcher from the pen. Both have come in and struggled in the second inning.
If you want to beat us... pitch a lefty. We hit like .300+ against righties. Sub .200 on lefties.
Kessler is mad because the UGA pitcher quick pitched and it wasn't called a balk. It was obvious.

Anu needs to quit hitting from the right side and Collett is lost with lefties.
Hindsight is 20/20 but what I think should have been done:
Daniels gets you out of the fifth, go to Harper for the sixth the Jones for the 7 / Degen 8th Riggs 9th... stay on positives and get them out but oh well

UK gives up another leadoff double. 5 innings in a row for UGA getting the leadoff hitter on. That is a recipe for disaster for UK.
Plus I think the pitch calling has been well below acceptable!!! Look at how many 0-2/1-2 hits given up
Ritter swinging like he can tie this up on one swing. Not swinging like he's looking for a base hit.
Now he's shortened it up a bit and he's in a battle. He hits it well but the ball park holds it for out 1. Estep up and he strikes out. Church being taken down for Harmon.
Coming into this game Harris had a bad reputation for walking a whole lot of people. I don't think he's walked many, if any, UK batters. He did hit a couple though.
