Kentucky Adding Another Marquee Non-Conference Opponent?

I dont really want this, but not the biggest deal either. I think our schedule is perfect as is, especially with the SEC still being strong. Adding another marquee opponent would mean only having a handful of metric-padding cupcakes(4? 5?), and those games also can help by giving a rest to the stars and more minutes to work on the bench.

But again, not the biggest deal I guess. I would certainly stop here adding any more top opponents.

18 SEC games, out of 31 you can play in regular season unless you are in preseason multi team tourney, Leaves 13 games, right now you have 6 marquee matchups, Louisville, CBS, Champions, Gonzaga, ACC challenge and Indiana. Leaves 7 other games, 6 cupcakes should be enough for a season so you have room for 1 more major player. Some think UCONN or ST JOHNS are going to replace UCLA in Champions Classic, could play the other or UCLA, maybe UNC, Houston and so forth. I would like to see UK play someone like Creighton, Xavier, BYU, Maryland, Iowa State or Villanova any of those teams in Rupp would be fun.

I still have a little PTSD when it comes to UConn.
Yeah, go ahead and play it, but I'll be watching from between my fingers as I cover my eyes and yell "nah, nah, nah, nah, I don't hear anything" all game long. Haha.

We owe UConn a couple beatings

I also wouldn’t mind an opponent we don’t normally see, NC State comes to mind or Southern Cal with the team they’re putting together. Oregon maybe?

I'd like to see Kansas on the upcoming schedule, simply because I'd love to expand the all-time win lead.

Also, it would be nice to curb stomp UNC while they're down. We trail them in the all-time head-to-head 18-25. Credit to Cal for making it a bit closer because at one time we were down by 11.

Yeah, Cal shaved the deficit to uNC down nicely. The gettin' is really good right now with Hubert in the coaches seat.
