Kentucky #6, Tennessee #7 in latest ESPN Power Rankings

This week's game at Ole Miss will tell us all where we are as a program. We haven't beaten an SEC West road opponent in a LONG time. We owe them from the last time they were in Lexington, we practically gave Kiffin his first win as a Rebel.

This game is HUGE!!!!

Why are we so concerned with UT jumping us in the rankings? They didn't do anything that should warrant that.

Its just useless fan fodder. The polls really mean nothing. The only rankings that matter are the playoff rankings and by the time those come out UK will either be relevant or irrelevant as we would have played ole miss and TN by then.

Oh don't get me wrong, I love seeing UK highly ranked, but I don’t get the fear of UT jumping UK.

Right now, we're not "top 10" good...

Hopefully CRod will make a big difference, but I'm worried that he won't be the same with our weak O line.

I'm not trying to be negative, but I just don't think we look as good as we were expected to be up to this point.
Can someone acknowledge that our O-Line may not be “elite” but an issue is the missed assignments by RB as blockers

This is what I keep saying. AP rankings don't even get used for anything anymore.

The guys on SEC final were both ranking Tennessee above us. It never ceases to amaze me when people prop teams up for winning a home game they should have lost to a team we beat by 10 at their place and made it look very easy the entire second half. Very much a lack of respect that I hope the team gets wind of and uses it as motivation. I would love to see them take Ole Miss to the woodshed this weekend.

If the oline plays well, we win. Everything else will take care of itself.

High rankings surely can’t hurt in recruiting. The higher we are now the likelier we remain in the polls even if we stumble 1, 2 or even three times this year. I imagine recruits notice.

In 2022, outside of Bama, Georgia, Ohio....who is?

Who's more deserving?

Who is undefeated, and has a win at the 12th ranked teams home stadium?

The reality is outside of the top 3 teams, everyone from 4 to 25 are probably within 3 or 4 pts of each other.

IDK, there were times 6 guys poured right into our backfield and were there to about take the handoff.
I don't think our running backs can block that many guys.
I don't think I've ever seen an O-line get beat as bad as ours has been.
I actually think they did okay in the Florida game and I didn’t see the Miami game, but we got whipped badly in the youngstown state and NIU games.

It's a fact that we beat that team by punishing them for going Cover 0 to bring the house. Our reorganizing, young O-line is being put to the test, along with our 2nd year starter QB.

It might prove really helpful this week that Levis found the way through his progressions in that mess often enough to move the ball with check downs and punishing YAC connections and deep strikes.

Even without their starter, that was not some crappy team we beat. Our games with them and Miami (OH) were pretty useful tune ups imho.

I think CRod returns and the offense combines with the D to take care of Ole Myth.
