Kentucky entered conference play with 4 losses and without a win to put on the resume. Then they lost 6 games in conference in a year that only 3 teams made the dance and one of those (Ole Miss) had to win the auto-bid to get in. Even still the committee chair said if UK beats Vandy on Friday of the SEC tournament they get in. This team is no where near the bubble, 2013 lived on it for 80% of the season.
Auburn and OSU are not "horrible". Neither were at home.
Thankfully so many teams in the top25, just aren't that special. Kentucky can very easily climb back into the top10 by season's end. Just gotta steal some games on the road.

Miss St is much much worse. UGA is worse. Auburn isn't good but not horrible either like Mizzou.
Rankings will take care of themselves if you win. A win at Arkansas stops the fall. A loss and we continue to get what we deserve. I think Thursday's game is must win for seeding purposes.

It's not going to get better this season. I would at least hope for effort from AP and Lee. We are really playing 3 on 5. These two would never be the major cogs on any good team.
At this point, they are what they are. Not very good. I question whether AP even likes playing.every 5* is different and a small % of them make NBA rosters, even the burger boys.
The longer you stick around, generally the more you will be exposed. AP will have his degree and Lee will follow. I think they are too fundamentally flawed to play overseas. Coaches only get a set number of hours with his players. It is on them to improve aspects of their game too.

I think it's fair given where and who we are. Inconsistent as a team can be. It is telling that OU is now the 5th team ranked #1. It won't last either, but probably one of the other 4 that isn't us will reclaim it. All this team has to do is start playing with consistency, and getting a contribution from our "bigs" regularly. Not just when they feel motivated. The game at Arkansas will be telling. I expect a bounce back win, but they are arguably better than Auburn. Lose that one, and we'll be gone from the rankings. And rightly so. I wish that game wasn't all the way to Thursday. Don't know about the team, but I'd be ready for it tomorrow.
It is actually generous considering all 4 of our losses are to 60+ RPI teams. LSU is currently at 110 which is crazy as I thought that would be Auburn. At this point, any road game is of concern to me. They lost by 2 @ LSU as well. So, it is going to be a close one.
Exactly ......to me being 3-0 vs RPI means while we've had some pretty good wins, we have also had some sort of bad losses.

Jay, I for sure didn't intend for anyone to think that I take a game THAT serious, on a scale from 1 to 10 UK basketball would be in the five hundreds, in other words I don't think about a win or loss the next day until I get on here to discuss it with you guys. what I was attempting to say was I had rather us win a game than lose.
