He was ok. I don't think he liked Chuck gushing about Kentucky though, lol. Rough day for the Jet.

A couple months back, Barkley said Kentucky was the best program in college basketball history. And Kenny shook his head and rolled his eyes. So, I don’t care if he said a few nice things. He’s a hater.
I despise Kenny Smith more than any announcer in any sport on any network. He should not have a job analyzing basketball
He was pretty upfront about not liking Cal, and about why. He’s no Kentucky fan of course, but you’d think he’ll be a little more even handed now. That said, he adds very little to the broadcast. Charles doesn’t know college ball either, but still makes reasonable points. And is funny

Didn’t Cal cut him in the pros? I think that is the main reason he hasn’t liked UK in the past. Or at least that was one reason, I believe.

No he has a personal grudge against Cal . Pretty sure the Nets brought him in for a tryout but Cal didn’t sign him.
Yeah, and I think it wasn’t just that he cut him. He cut him after telling him he was going to keep him. Or something. I forget the particulars but the way smith told the story Cal wasn’t honest with him.
Chuck always has our back. I love Chuck. I know he will prolly pick us to lose next round but he’s always talking good to us and it’s more a product of roster health more so than anything.
Kenny Smith is nowhere nere deserving of the job he has. If it were not for the UNC ESPN connection he wouldn't have this job. He brings nothing to the table.
Yes. Calipari waived Kenny Smith. Smith was a 10-year NBA veteran. He retired soon after Calipari waived him.
