Listening to KSR, Mat said Katina tried to notify the NCAA and was told by the rep they weren't interested. I wonder if she got this guy's name from the NCAA and help expose their ineptness.

With Ricky still spouting off, wonder if the penalties could get worse in this appeal?

Obviously, that is a very low percentage; but wow can they be squeaky sometimes.
and I would love to see the players stay longer...guys like Fox, Monk, Cousins, Wall, of course Davis (just to name a very few); all played with heart and passion. Who wouldn't want to see more of those players?

True, it's not many. But there is another handful - just a handful, but we're overly subjected to them because they post here way too much - of delusional idiots (sorry, but it is the most appropriate word) who think they possess basketball knowledge on par with Calipari (or even above in the case of the ones likely already in a straight-jacket).

They are only agreeable to keep Calipari as coach because "he recruits pretty well - most the time." Of course, if they could just get Calipari to listen and agree to have the team employ a full-court press all the time and shoot more 3-pointers, they would probably agree that he knows enough to keep around a few more years.

I haven't followed all the ins and outs (pun intended) of this whole scandal like some of you. My question is did she ever say why she turned them in in the first place? She basically is admitting to prostitution and sex with minors. She isn't worried about any punishments coming () her way?

Did she not get paid for services rendered? Was she out to get them from the start? Was it revenge for something that happened? Something else I didn't mention?

If I recall correctly, in the interview she admitted that she did it because of the prospect of making money from the revelation (e.g., book deal).

But, wow... that interview with Powell was great, wasn't it. You can have whatever thoughts you want about a person in her former (?) profession, but that lady is a truth-teller. She doesn't excuse anything she did, nor does she seem to hold back anything.

Yeah the defense Louisville and Rick are putting out about no way of knowing what was going on is crazy. Rick and everyone knows those seats are for very important guests and from the talks of her interview she got tickets many times. Plus the way she talked about the party's they had at Minardi Hall was crazy and they wasn't hiding anything. Ricky and Louisville got off pretty easy if you ask me.
