So we gained at least 1 win on them this year.
I said before the beginning of the year that I thought this move would give Cal a breath of fresh air and he would be reborn a little. Sometimes there just needs to be a separation for both parties to get healthy. He has Arkansas playing defense I haven’t seen Kentucky play in 6 - 7 years(how long has it been since Monk and Fox were here). That gives them a chance.
I am happy with what we got in return. But Arky is going to be a tough out.

Worst case Cal makes the E8 and gets his ass handed to him by UF. He's got to get through a motivated and rejuvenated Pitino first.
Who won? BBN did. No matter the final score, we had reason to cheer.
My only point is that it doesn’t matter how Arky played against Kansas, they won. That is all that matters in each of these tournament games.
We could not keep going with Cal. He had quit or just succumbed to the pressure, but regardless he had to leave. It was not healthy for him or Ky. Pope needs to win the next 2 games to prove we got the right guy.
Agree with you for the most part. Cal had lost his mojo years before actually leaving UK. Did you catch his post game interview? After it was over, he trotted to the dressing room. When was the last time you saw Cal run anywhere?
Last, I want to see Pope make a good show in the tournament, but even if we don’t, I still think we got the “right guy”

Well, Kansas team this year is worse than the last year team…. Self betted all the NIl money on Dickinson , and Dickinson who knows what he did with money , definitely didn’t use it to improve his game or stamina.
Regardless, this show he meaningless those AP polls are. Kentucky has a great opportunity to add more games ahead of Kansas,
