My guess is they have 0 scholarship players and aren’t worried about filling up roster spots, so using a scholly for an end of the bench redshirt and scoring a “win” over Pope is a why not situation. Low stakes.

Mark Pope no longer has to rely on veteran players that have deficiencies. This kid was NOT UK material and Coach Pope knew it. This should tell everyone that we are in on kids that are MUCH better.
