Announcers in Texas Tech game against OU basically said Kansas was best team in nation because they play in the big 12 and the competition was tougher than what UK has in the SEC. Why do they pay people who really know nothing about the game?

Instead of looking at the Texas Tech/ISU game and saying "wow, ISU must be overrated", they say "see how deep the B-12 is". TT just beat the second highest rated team in the conference and they are getting waxed by a team that is barely ranked by almost 50.

I assume those announcers get a lot of comfort from the fact that the coaches' and writers' polls agree with them--KU is #1.

KU lost two OOC games by an average of 28.5 points. One of those was 25 to a crappy Temple team that may or may not make the NCAA Tournament. The win over KU may get them in if they are on the bubble or near it but they are not good.
