Butler wrote his own name in the history books today. What a performance! Proud of him for putting the team on his back today.

We certainly took Louisville’s best shot today. Honestly I felt like Kelsey had his team much better prepared than Pope did. You could tell the red team wanted to win badly. Sometimes it seemed like the refs wanted the red team to win too 😡. But hey, we got that W, so this one goes in the good column. We get a week to prepare for OSU and they just got embarrassed by Auburn so they are probably going to come out mad. I hope we come ready for that game.

I hope we can find a will and a way to defend during these 21 days. Was very disappointed in our defense today. I hope we hone in on defense, rebounding, and free throws until SEC play begins 🙏. We should have beaten UL by 15 and Colgate by 40. We have got some work to do before SEC play begins.

The NBA thread discussion there's the consensus they play too many games.
Meanwhile College IMO plays far too little.

Especially in the month of December.

It's like college bball starts November but then u hit this low right before conference time.
It's no wonder some people don't get into it until later on in the season.

We also break down a lot like we did tonight when we just kept leaving then open from three. The defense steps up when necessary, but I have to agree that I'd like to see more consistency and communication.

They have got to shore up to three-point defense. Teams are getting way too many wide open threes with nobody around at all.
They need to get in there on the practice court and get better. Too many open threes. Louisville scored two three pointers with nobody within 10 ft of them. That's the difference in covering a point spread!!
They need to take these next few days and get things straightened out

You’re right, but it was not good against Colgate, Clemson and Louisville. And it got us behind by 16 first half points at both Duke and Gonzaga. The second halves were things of beauty in both games, but we need better overall defense for the entire game.
