Jurich Perks per Deadspin & CJ

It would take MORE than Jurich's fat contract to get me to root for Loserville.
Money can't buy everything...including my integrity.

OK...I'd sell out for $1 billion. I mean, c'mon...
Hmmm.... I hate to admit it but my price would be closer to $3 million. In cash, Tom... I won't even require a country club membership. I'd retire tomorrow.

Beshears law firm is tied at the hip with Jurich. He was the Yum Arena Authority Attorney. They made enough off that deal to donate millions to the UL Athletic Dept aka coaches and AD

Classic....good stuff

Well UNC and UL are certainly duking it out for top corruption in sports
See, I don't think so. I think Louisville is in a class by itself now. I mean, yeah, you can argue the fake class scandal at UNC is worse than whatever the worst scandal at Louisville is. You can argue what went on at Penn State is worse than anything at Louisville. You can argue whatever was the worst thing at Baylor is worse than the worst thing at Louisville. But those places had one scandal, or perhaps a few. At this point, Louisville has had about 40 different scandals, over half of them involving athletics. The FBI has been involved, the IRS, the state attorney general, the Southern District of New York, the NCAA - and most of those have been involved with multiple scandals. The sheer breadth of scandals at UofL is overwhelming. The school is in a class by itself.

UL's corruption is confined to the city pretty much. With the head of ESPN being dirty as hell........ and the head of the ACC..... I have to rate UNCheat higher just because the bull sh*t reaches out much further

I know someone who donates a lot of money as a Rams Club member..... UNCheat spread their good ole boy network out about 20 x's further than UL ever dreamed of doing.

But of things the public knows about.......... I can see people ranking UL at the top.

Unreal is probably too nice of a way to describe all this.
You have to wonder if an elected official somewhere in this state is going to look into all this. What they are saying is a state school is hiding money basically, taking state dollars to pay this mans taxes, shuffling money around to pay him all the while UL officials go to Frankfort asking for money to run the university.

I am trying not to bring politics into this, but this past week, one of Trump's people had to quit for using a plane for private purposes. OK, I understand the man being held accountable for doing that, but why do we turn our heads when a state university does something much worse?

Like the UL board member said last week to his wife about the latest scandal, "You can't make this shit up"!

Forgive me if already posted. I did like 15 seconds of due diligence and didn't see posted already so..........

After I read this, I threw up in my mouth a little.

Here’s how Louisville ended up paying him so much, via the Courier-
  • Making some compensation tax-free by “grossing” it up, or essentially paying the taxes for him. This was a $1.6 million benefit to him in 2016.
  • Paying Jurich 160 percent of the cost of his life insurance policy, and allowing him to keep the overage. Employer-paid policies are common for athletic directors, but sweetening the deal is not.
  • Paying him as much as $30,000 per year to hire financial advisers to help manage his money, as well as paying taxes on that perk.
  • Providing $12,000 per year to cover the cost of two vehicles. Coaches and ADs commonly get allowances for one car, but not for two.
  • Buying memberships in two high-end private golf clubs — Hurstbourne and Lake Forest, where membership fees are $28,000 and $25,000, respectively. That’s in addition to membership at the university’s own Cardinal Club course. The university also pays Jurich’s annual club dues and covers his required monthly minimum bar and food bills – an $11,260 benefit in 2015, the most recent year available from the athletic department.
  • Providing 16 Skye Terrace seats each year for the Kentucky Derby and Oaks. According to the track’s website, eight premium seats would sell for $24,000 per year.
  • Guaranteeing eight football and basketball season tickets for life — and not just his life. The seats, valued at about $11,500 per year, are property of the Jurich family for the lifetimes of his wife and children, as well.
All Kentucky taxpayers should demand that the NCAA shuts down UL's athletics department, and that the authorities prosecute Jurich under the law.

When you read this how in the world can a UL fan want this guy back. Do they not have any shame.
