Coach of transylvania won the ncaa division 3 national championship last year undefeated season and remains that way today I call that one hell of a coach

Had never heard of that name before you mentioned it today.... I don't watch other teams and I also don't keep up with UKWBB... At least since Elzy has been here after the first year that is... I was hoping she would be better than her previous coach.... But alas it' was a dream.... A fairy tale....

There are probably several they should look at. Fulks has done great at Transy, but they are division III. I'm not sure I would hire a division III coach. That's a big jump. I kind of like Carla Berube at Princeton. She seems to be a very good coach.
She has won at the national level and deserves a look and I do understand the concerns you mention I think she deserves a shot though to win like that a transylvania is amazing and I don't know if Kentucky could find anyone better
Remember when Notre Dame hired a HS coach from Cincy to coach football at Notre Dame? That has to be one of the dumbest moves in history. Having said that, I wouldn't mind seeing how a D3 coach could do on the D1 level. Afterall, this is women's bball and not men's.

Women’s basketball is like Ky football team they both don’ have much of a chance winning a national championship.
it's about recruiting as much as it is coaching. Can she recruit elite players to UK? Would she have those types of connections? She does have a record at Transy of 213-38 in 10 seasons. that's pretty damn impressive. and they are 66-1 over the past 3 seasons including this one. So probably worth a look.
I hoped Elzy would succeed considering she played High School ball for my Alma Mater.

I wouldn't exactly say Elzy has been on fire with recruiting. I'll take my chances with a more competent coach.
The sad thing is Barney is the one who does the hiring..... He has a brain freeze when it comes time to pick a coach...

Also holds a Doctorate. Pretty damn impressive resume. Not getting why D3 has anything to do with her ability to win here. If you can coach, you can coach. It isn't like she would be recruiting D3 caliber players here.

Can’t say we follow much D3 women’s basketball around these parts. Honestly I’d be surprised if 10 people in Transylvania could name her outside someone related to a team member.

A change won't happen in the middle of the season...not at UK anyway unless it was a legal issue.
There's a BIG Difference between NCAA Division III\Heartland Atheltic Conference and Division I and the SEC.
Recruiting against South Carolina, LSU and Tennessee is tough.
I feel bad for Elzy, great person, she just don't have the talent to work with.

She had pretty excellent talent 2 years ago with the No 1 WNBA pick and D. Edwards and that season was headed for the toilet if it weren't for a miracle run in the SEC tournament. But, then they turned around and lost in the first round of the NCAA tourney. Elzy may be a nice person, but she is not a good coach, with or without talent.
Looks like if she can recruit at a place like Transy recruitng at UK shouldn't be any harder. I doubt Transy give to many full scholarships, if any, because most Div III schools don't. I'm sure NIL, if not now, will in the future be involved bit UK and other women's teams.
So 45 game win streak and won the national championship with a undefeated season you're not impressed no matter what level that's a person who can flat out coach
She’s moderately attractive, but with a touch of masculinity. Would make her very marketable in that market
