@JRowland - I’ve been hesitant to bring this up to see if the situation changed, but I’m curious to hear your thoughts on Mark Stoops’ personal efforts right now in recruiting.
Why am i bringing this up? Since week 1, each Friday night on Twitter you’ll see reporters from Rivals, 247, etc. posting pics or stories of SEC head coaches out on the road personally watching 2025 uncommited high school players in attempt to add them to the class. 247 mentioned that Kirby Smart had been on the road to recruit on 5 different Friday nights this Fall, most of which have been out of state. Lane Kiffen flew to California to watch a QB he covets last Friday while Ole Miss had a game the next day. It’s the norm if you follow this stuff.
Can anyone name the last prospect Mark Stoops went out to evaluate/recruit on a Friday night during the season? The last 2 that the media has covered was a 2022 visit to Lex Cath where he watched Cutter Boley and then last season he drove down to Somerset watch the Smith Twins. That’s the only instances we’ve heard of. Earlier in his tenure he was out and about quite a bit on Friday nights. What changed?
