I don't know what the official story will be, but seems like he was just too oft injured to make any real push on the depth chart. Best to just part ways. Not everyone works out. Tough business.

That sucks. I was expecting him to get some good playing time this season. May not be starter but I thought he would still get plenty of snaps. Depth is always an issue for us it seems and with his size I thought he would be able to give others breathers and get valuable time.

True. If we'd paid attention during the spring we would've learned something was going on at LT. With False Start Swindle being a sr we should've seen a lot of competition there. And I guess there was with Larubbio, Richardson, etc but word coming out they were/are in hot pursuit of JUCO LTs should've tipped us off.

Isn't this the first Stoops recruit to leave? Big difference from the yearly mass exodus under the prior regime.

Heard Rowland on the radio a couple of weeks ago. He sounded positive about him even with a Bama visit coming up. I noticed Oklahoma offered recently as well.

I may be remembering this incorrectly, but wasn't he a West Virginia commit before he flipped to UK? If so, do you think there's any chance us bringing in WVU's offensive coordinator had any impact on this? I'd still choose our new OC over 1 player, so it doesn't really upset me, but I'm just speculating on whether or not this may have had an impact.

My biggest concern is most of our OL are really more suited to play interior slots at C or guard. We're weakest at OT but we'll move some guys to the outside that probably could be more effective inside.

What is our tackle depth:
Starters: Swindle and GAA
Depth: Meadows, ..>I assume Richardson and LaRubbio and Mosier will play split to OT but I"m not sure that is their natural position.
Of the newcomers...Livingston is an OT all the way.

It really hurts that we lost Derrick Kelley last in recruiting 2 years ago...then we essentially used his opening on Krok..and now we lose Krok. UK is in a future position that we're already forcing GAA very early into the fire...now we're probably going to do it 2 years in a row to replace Swindle next year.

I really had high expectations for the kid coming out of high school. On paper he looked like a can't miss player-- definitely has the size and other things you like to see. I wish him the best at wherever he ends up.

Let's call it what it is: losing a player at a position that was our worst unit on the entire team last season. No matter how you want to spin this, it's a tough loss. It's hard to replace quality offensive linemen. They're the hardest position to recruit, and the hardest position to develop. It's never good to lose a quality young offensive lineman..especially when it's likely the weakest position on your entire team (yes, the weakest).

Krok isn't a superstar, but this is definitely a hit. We might be seeing how much of a hit this is when we're halfway into SEC play and we've already had a couple linemen go down to the usual dings and nagging injuries.

Not sure what your issue is, but your agenda is really getting old. This is the first Stoops recruit that has transferred. First. One. Numero uno. I don't think the program is going to collapse because Krok transferred.

If we get the jucos LT then we will be good for 2 years and young and any other oline will rs going forward. Tough loss but not a breaker. He wasn't in the 2 deep so maybe the other guys are just better. Wish he'd of stayed but next man up and let's play some damn football.

Krok is enormous but he was never healthy long enough to practice. We have no idea what we lost if anything. Good luck to him but I have a hard time believing he will be a better player at any point than the JUCO OT Leavitt if we can sign him. We will be fine.

Honestly I have been waiting for 8 years to hear any coaches say that we have "great senior leadership" on the team. Its been a while since we have had great talent leading this program from the juniors and seniors classes and it will take that for this program to move forward.

I would agree with this. Not since Wesley Woodyard and the 2007 seniors have we had anyone that would lead by example and truly hold his/their teammates accountable.

I think we were thinking numbers not individuals. 2007 had several junior and senior starters that led that team. Both of those guys were leaders in their own right.

miss st had 18 seniors who played a lot of downs last year. UK had 5 senior playing significant snaps. i believe UK should have 12 seniors who will contribute a lot this year and a whole bunch of jr's as well. when we start playing mostly jr sr guys we will start winning some of these close games instead of coughing them up. having a few leaders is nice but its really cool to have a team full of leaders.
