Just curious, does anyone really know what happened with that situation? As far as I know, Cal hasn't offered and you would think this kid would be a guy Cal would want. I think it's predetermined he will go to a UA school, but KU and Zona are considered to be the favorites with Maryland creeping up. Guessing that's the UA connection though. Maybe it's the mom controlling his recruitment thing or the rumors he might go overseas and skip college. Maybe it's bc Cal wanted Tatum and then shifted to Bridges, but I just thought an offer would as least be given. Anyone have an idea?

I doubt anyone "knows" what really happened. But if you look at all of the top kids that Cal stopped recruiting there is a common theme. There's a good chance we will all be saying we dodged a bullet by not going after him in about 15 months.... or I could be completely wrong on that.

Just strange - as far as it looks he's not trying at all to get him -- so there's some reason. He's going after Giles hard - even though everyone thinks he's DOOK bound - but not even a sniff at JJ without a clear leader.

All I can think is maybe right off the bat Jackson told Cal he's not really interested in Kentucky. Or maybe something with him made Cal stop after offering. Duke hasn't sniffed him either.

I think what needs to be considered here is how quiet everything is with JJ. You don't hear anything about his visits, who has been in contact, etc. And I think he or his mom, or handlers if he has any want it like that. Maybe Cal is keeping in contact, maybe he isn't. But regardless of the lack of info, if Cal did stop recruiting him there is a reason.

I think there will end up being some baggage with his recruitment. Always felt that way. Honestly feel he will play under armour or Arizona if he plays college ball. But I really think he's one of the guys that the Las Vegas dealers organizer was referring to. He's a big time talent and believe he could pull the mudiay route.

I think the whole bad news stuff is being put out there by fans that can't accept that he may not want to come to UK. UK is not for everyone, and that doesn't make someone a bad kid.

Nope were dealing with a new school izzo here, no longer will he shun OAD "mercenaries" he and coach k are all on board now. No way izzo will ever win another NC unless he gets with it .

I met his mom a few days ago. She is a very pleasant lady. She was Mrs. basketball in the state of Michigan the year Chris Webber was Mr. basketball. She was also the first woman basketball player to sign a shoe contract. She told me Josh would not be coming to UK. She told me she just didn't like Cal. I told her whether you like Cal or not you have to like the fact his players are approaching a billion dollars in contracts and she said they would make it their way. I just told her good luck and that's a big gamble. I didn't detect her being crazy or anything, for whatever reason she just doesn't like coach and that's their problem IMO.
