JOSH BRAUN, a 6' 6 328 offensive lineman, left the Florida gators team and is entering the transfer portal. will have 2 yrs left to play. so what do yall think is he worth the cats going after him. he started and played every game as a sophomore, however this year he hasnt played much at all, due to coaching changes

Yes we will take him in a heartbeat. Offensive lineman transfers from upper SEC teams?
Yes please. You'll be starting here day one good buddy. Don't you listen to none of them other school you just come right on over here to Big Blue.

We got plenty of ways for you to make money here 💯✍️

4* out of HS with 6 SEC offers, UK not included. Runs pretty well from looks of HS film. UK will need OTs unless others develop, would expect UK to be active with OL in portal.

Good question.

1. I see Flax as solid for one tackle spot next year.
2. Cox at Center
3. Burton is maturing at one guard spot
4. Surely Goodwin is going to start or play a ton next year...or the kid will leave if he can't get it cranked next year
5. To me the question is Buford...is he a tackle or move him to guard? Bottomline, he needs to play regardless.
6. I don't want to even hear about Wohlbaugh for a few years...not even close

Josh Bruan appears to be a guard...so it boils down to me if you think Buford sticks at tackle you go get some guards in portal. If Buford moves to guard....then go get some tackles in the portal.

Need a Tackle transfer even if for depth. Buford, Flax are improving with Reps. Burton needs another year but is a starter. Could even get a center transfer and move Cox back to his right guard position. He showed scouts he could play center but excelled at RG. Many possibilities but definitely need a transfer. The receivers are so good a transfer QB would be attracted to that but will watch developments on the UK Line. D line has a lot of talent back as the team strength.

Buford will likely get first dibs at LT depending on how active UK decides to be in the portal with Goodwin as his backup. Flax at RT has promise, guessing Nik Hall would be his back up. Burton at LG backed by Rodriquez, Young/Josh Jones/Bingham fighting it out at RG. Agree on Braun, looks like a UK G if UK offers.

I'm not giving up on Wohlabaugh just yet. I keep going back to his ancestry, Pops a NFL OL for years, brother a starter at Duke. Hoping he'll eventually round into shape, a late developer.

Notice you didn't mention John Young?

If Goodwin isn't developed into a starter in '23....5* tackles don't grow on trees

Your not getting a O tackle to transfer in to be a backup. Based on last offseason, O Ts were THE most prized, most sought after targets in the portal by practically everyone. And there were precious few available. There's a reason Bama went all out to swipe Vandys starting LT, who starts for them.

correction hes 6'6 and a 350 punder

Yeah 350 is much closer and probably being kind to him. He committed to UGA during summer before Sr season and when Pittman was hired he either flipped or decomitted and committed to UF. I been wrong many times, but I think he is on his way to Arkansas to reunite with Pittman. I have heard we aren't interested.

Physically, Buford looks more like a guard to me although he played well at RT Saturday. I think he slides into Manning's RG position. Certainly, I would expect Goodwin to start/play plenty at LT next year with Flax (or transfer or someone who develops) at RT. Think Eli stays at C with Burton at LG. Hall, Bingham, Young, Rodriguez, Jones, Wohlabaugh (I, too, haven't given up), et al as backups who, hopefully, see plenty of snaps. We have plenty of bodies for the OL next year. Just need them to get experience and improve, both individually and as a unit. We should be fine.

Idk if we’re interested but Logan Brown from Wisconsin might be another option to look at.

Eli is doing ok at center but the added responsibility of the position having to snap and think more seems to have taken a little away from his agressiveness. But he's only 7 games in so he may grow into a really good which I always thought he was made for. But he and Jagger are both athletic and aggresive guys that want to move and you can see how much better each is at run blocking than pass pro. On run plays they can just use that natural athletic ability and move people.

Good free article. Brother's at GT.

Brother was there when he signed with UF. I suppose the new coach could influence him. Dad is an OL coach at some big HS in Florida. He committed to Pittman when he was our OL coach. If Pittman still wants him I think that's were he goes, he is a Pittman OL, which is huge guys. As stated he started as a frosh, but UF wasn't very good and neither was he. But he will be 2 years older, so he may have improved.

Flax should never start slower than molasses in February

If we are getting back to where we need to be long term, with our guys rotating in and out throughout the game, and learning multiple positions to help their draft stock, being the starter doesn't matter as much. Being developed for the league is huge. Being versatile enough to play G or OT makes a big difference on draft night and long term even if you aren't drafted.

John Young has entered the portal. Alabama has two o linemen in the portal

That's really really disappointing. Sometimes 4* OL from KY develop/stick well and sometimes they don't. It's tough committing to a coach like Schlarman and then see what happened to him, though. I wish him the best, but I wish he'd been able to do what he needed to play here

My daughter knows the family well.

Whole bunch of Alabama o linemen in the portal. It was said they have a great class comiquietly.
Some are 5* OL, Bama is either doing a very poor job of developing or a poor job evaluating. As high as their classes are ranked and having to bring in multiple transfers every year, has to be one ore the other. At least 5 of their starters were transfers.

I agree here. I think Saban has slipped a bit.

- There are kids he's getting that aren't developing like before. He had to get the Ga Tech transfer as his RB pool behind him was not that elite. WHy is that....he truly has 5 * kids and high 4 * kids in that room.
- Why did he have to get Steen from Vandy at LT....
- Saban used to be DB university. Now he gets torched year in and year out with teams that can throw it around.

It's sort of goofy to have him be a 5* depth chart to the end and then still need to poach kids in NIL now. I used to like Saban and how he won...not I find myself rooting against him...especially after his baby fit with Jimbo and NIL last off season. Sort of childish to call others cheaters when he's done this crap all these years to get an advantage.
