Jordan Dingle leaving, going to USC lite

To be plainly honest.....he's been not much to write home about for a few years as the main pass catching TE. Iffy hands....very poor blocker and not elite YAC.

Kamari Anderson is the TE I really want to get back in the fold to be honest.

Had read Anderson had poor physicality.

Dingle's been in portal for several weeks has he not?

Stoops said after the year for us not to panic. I guess going 4-8 and most of your best players leaving is not a reason to panic in his mind. We’re replacing a ton of 4 star players with MAC level transfers. So how much worse can it get?
Definitely crazy going from decent players to joker level players. Before long the consistency of joker results will be raining in too like the 5-7 and the 2-10. You might not have to wait long for the 2-10.

'Poor physicality' - how can our talent evaluators NOT see that before moving heaven and earth to successfully recruit him, have him on the team for 2 years, etc.? Surely they looked at KA in real action and film and thought he was going to be a stud at this level. How have they missed so badly on him, Dingle, BB, et al during the evaluation phase?

I'm just passing on what I read but I figure this type of thing Stoops was referring to when he said their vetting needs to get better....at least I hope so.

Didn’t Dingle try to leave last year? Heart not in it

Yes and we paid him to come back. Should've let him go. Weak as hell blocking to the point he was basically unplayable. This year he compounded that by dropping passes including one that deflected into a crucial int.

Another one i say good riddance. Hopefully this gets us Anderson back, who imo was way better already.

However will we replace the 9 passes he caught and 54 (low estimate) blocks he missed this season? (sarcasm intended)

Our TEs, as a group, caught 25 passes, 15% of all receptions - that's pathetic. Either the room as a whole is just not very good, they were used improperly, the plays were not called/designed to utilize the TE and/or our QBs didn't look for them. But, week after week as I watch both college and NFL football, I see TEs used copiously in the middle of the field to move the chains. Yet, we threw outside the hash marks a much higher % than I see almost every other CFB team. And, it work so well!!
