Some info on Skal and Izzy.

Man it really looks like Skal has added muscle!

Skal Labissiere - Kentucky

Skal LabissiereIt is rare when you can give a player the ball, and he can get you a basket from anywhere on the floor. Skal was a constant scoring machine. From the paint to three point range and in between, with just a little room he can find a way to score. He did a great job of creating off the dribble, shooting fadeaways off of a reverse pivot, and shooting jump hooks with either hand. In a class that has some strong bigs at the top, Skal was easily the most impressive.

It sure helps to have a 7-foot offensive and defensive anchor inside.

If we get Thorne we will be fine at the 5 and the two 7 footers could play together against a big team.

damn at this rate Skal will look like the Hulk in October. The change in his body since January is crazy. His arms in that picture are pretty impressive. This dude is going to dominate in college. His elevation on his jumper is uncanny to see from someone his size. Unblockable. 17 to 22 ppg next year easy

It's crazy how weight is relative with body fat percentage. According to the hoop summit Skal weighs in at exactly 216 but he definitely looks bigger meaning he has a crazy low body fat percentage. Kind of like how Patrick young always looked 280 because of how massive he was but was almost the same weight poythtess is who looks half the size. Of Skal can get to 235 or so which I feel is doable in our program, he's a 17/9/2 guy easily on this current roster.

Poythress, Lee, and Labissiere are going to be fina inside. That's a great three man rotation at the 4 and 5 spots. Maker would be icing on the cake, IMHO.

Now what we really need are wings. That is what I am really worried about. We need at least one of Newman, Brown, Ingram, or Murray (if he reclassifies). One SG (Newman or Murray) and one SF (Brown or Ingram) would be ideal.

Skal has much better definition in his arms than I've seen in the past. The problem for Skal trying to bulk up is that he has narrow shoulders.

We're going to be good defensively. Throw in a shooter & a Newman or Ingram scorer& we'll be really good.

As our roster currently stands I would not be surprised to see him average 20 or more for us next season if he is able to keep up the dominate performance. It will be a necessity as we will not have a great scoring team again where buckets come easy.
Add that big center and another wing who can fill it up and we will have a team the I will feel better about.
