JoJo replaces Boom as #1 on depth chart...

Yeah, that's why Boom's dad comes to all the games decked out in blue and trying to pump the crowd up. A disgruntled parent doesn't do that. I don't know how Boom could be disgruntled about how he's been handled. He wasn't able to break through against Mizzou and JoJo was...simple as that. We actually have other talented guys on the team.
Saw a post that Boom's dad was very quiet after the game as well at the tailgate

I can't understand why both can't play, but if you're missing blocks, then you are coming out. I like the idea of running a fresh player in every few plays.

It's fine with me if Boom was a little upset Saturday night. He's a big time talent who has rarely, if ever, been benched. He didn't play after he failed to pick up the blitz on UK's first second half possession. He wants to play. I'm also like that Stoops benched him. Kemp did a great job pass blocking the rest of the game and has all year. Both big passes to Garrett Johnson on UK's last TD drive were aided by Kemp's blocking. Boom needs to pass block like Kemp does.

First, JoJo is great and deserves the PT he is getting. That being said, I want guys like Boom who think they're the best on the field and want the ball in crunch time.

If coach has to bruise his ego a little to get his attention....no problem, but we want to maintain that fire in the belly and get that energy focused in the right direction. I think CMS is bringing pressure to bear without calling out Boom's actions overtly in a press conference.

The next think you'll hear is how he is killing it in practice, running & blocking like a maniac, and then you'll see him rushing like a freight train when he gets the ball in the next big game.

I just don't want any rotten eggs on this team stinking up the joint. All it takes is for one or two guys to get an attitude and all of a sudden it becomes something that you have to address team wide. I don't think that will happen because I don't believe our leaders on the team will let it happen.

Boom needs to look at Jo Jo's attitude after how little he played after the South Carolina game. He could have pouted, transferred, etc but he didn't. He's bucked up and just continued to do all the little things your team needs from you.

Maybe put Boom back there catching punts if he wants the ball so much.

I never stated that is what happened and didn't know anything about it until I seen this thread. IF (hopefully comprehended this time) he purposely left his team hanging because he was mad/upset then it needs addressed with more than just not getting to start.

Stuff like that can ruin a team. Also, please stop getting so butt hurt over one persons opinion.

I understood what you were saying. I think this is just a very sensitive subject for many others. I just hope everything is straightened out by next week.

Congrats to JO JO KEMP on a tremendous game against Mizzo!

The reversal of JO JO to the top of the depth chart is a HUGE SIGN to BBN, and every player on this KENTUCKY FOOTBALL TEAM.

Stanley BOOM Williams is an excellent Running Back: maybe the BEST Running Back on this UK TEAM. However, competition, and who is performing the best -currently, is what MARK STOOPS is building in to our FOOTBALL PROGRAM to make it successful.

When is the last time KENTUCKY FOOTBALL dropped a player, of BOOM WILLIAMS caliber, in to the SECOND SPOT on the depth chart?

UK FOOTBALL is changing, and BOOM WILLIAMS is going to have to take this as a challenge and come back from it. My guess is he will.

In the meantime... GO JO JO...GO!

GO BIG BLUE!

Boom struggled against Mizzou. But, he ran like a man on a mission against UF. He was fired up! I think Stoops is trying to harness that passion in a good way and if you are a top RB, like he is, you desperately want to get back on the horse when you are having a rough game. He will be fine.

If Williams would learn how to pick up the blitz, he would get more playing time. Kemp will get most of the reps as long as Swindel is out IMO. I mean the coaches have to do what they must do to keep the quarterback vertical.
THIS. Didn't we spend all of the week between UF and Mizzou lamenting the QB play? Wasn't part of that the inability to keep the pass rush off of him? Boom missed a critical blitz pick up. JoJo didn't.

He's a true sophomore, he's not expected to be perfect. But you don't get the glory (carries, yards, and TDs) if you can't do the "unglorious" things, too.

He'll be fine.
