it's ironic how after his first prison sentence he comes home pissed at his son for building a 200k house and his son ends up dead from a supposed suicide. Then he breaks up with his girlfriend who threatens to snitch on him and she if found hanging in a barn from another alleged suicide

Well. Depends on perspective I guess. Evidently, law enforcement would have us believe there is no coincidence. On the flip side, heavy drug use could result in suicide or johnnys enemies could have come to "collect". I have no clue. Myth and reality tend to become ambiguous in the world of drugs. Jmo

Who. My mom and dad are from Marion co and everything that I have ever heard never indicated violence like that. They intimidated where necessary but neither he or Shuemaker were overly violent based on all accounts. Not saying Those 3 deaths couldn't be related but it would go against everything I have ever heard, and a lot of what I heard was from people that knew them well.

Jack Zeig and his wife were killed at their home between Buffalo and Mount Sherman. He was killed in the house and she was killed in their car. From newspaper accounts it appeared she was trying to get away. The other person was shot in the back of the head in a cornfield in the Roanoke area of LaRue County. I don't know his name. My nephew's Little League baseball coach got raided by the Feds and was in prison for a number of years. His son, who played with my nephew, is either in prison or about to be on drug distribution charges. That family is associated with the bunch in Nelson County who are into auto racing. Rumor has been, and remember, it's a rumor that's been around for a long time, is that group was a part of the network. A local trucking company was rumored to have been used to move the volume of marijuana under the cover of a legal business.

Lots of rumors, true, but the ones about the local operation in LaRue County weren't rumors. Lots of people knew about it. Wasn't much speculation about why the Feds did the local raid with zero help or assistance from the local cops or the KSP.....people here thought the locals were bought and paid for.

I am 44 right now so I don't remember much about it back in the hay day but there was one story that was kind of interesting. My aunt took us to Shit Creek Hollar in Raywick to swim in a pool in the spring fed creek at the bottom. On our way back to the pool we met a really old flat bed truck with two guys standing up in the back, leaning on the cab. Both of them had shotguns and were eye balling us as we drove by. I asked my aunt if they had been hunting and she laughed and told me maybe. I figured it out a couple of years later.
