Different circumstances.
Wall was all set to go to Memphis until Cal took the UK job, then he had to re-evaluate things even though it's really a no-brainer. With Brown and even Wiggins a few years ago, no major change like that took place at the programs they're considering that would necessitate them holding off from announcing for that long. All the other big dominoes have already fallen.

Jones had to re-evaluate after jumping off a bridge because his best friend jumped off that same bridge.
Not saying it's impossible with Brown, I mean he's a perfect fit for us and he's gotta see that, just not getting my hopes up after all that has went wrong and with THAT company being involved.
