Lame.He pushed off....
It's not allowed at our nursing home here on Rafters. Is cursing allowed in the NBA?
I would argue with you but bingo is about to startIt's not allowed at our nursing home here on Rafters.
They've apparently come to an agreement to not play him while they work to move him.So what the heck is going on with Wall? Still hasn’t appeared in a game this season (despite these practice clips of him looking healthy) and it’s been several years since he played even more than half his team’s games.
Yet he remains one of the League’s highest paid players. Dude made out like a bandit when he signed that contract extension, landed him forever on the all time “most overpaid” list.
He was worth it when he signed it. Nobody can predict injuries except maybe with Zion, that tank gonna implode. So what the heck is going on with Wall? Glad you footing his bill instead of me..I mean, at least he's helping out in practice while we pay him $45m for the year.
Rockets are working with Wall to try and move him, while not playing him to avoid injury. Rockets don't really need to win meaningless games anyways, and are looking to rebuild.
Oh, he’s definitely not a bust, I never meant to suggest that. He was indeed the real deal for a few years there. But then he landed a contract for superstar money and has been Missing In Action ever since.i wouldn’t classify wall as a bust. he was a multi year all star before the injuries.
They have agreed to sit him until a trade from what I heardSo what the heck is going on with Wall? Still hasn’t appeared in a game this season (despite these practice clips of him looking healthy) and it’s been several years since he played even half his team’s games.

I agree will never be a lead guard of a great team in the NBA - simply never could consistently shoot jumpersSo what the heck is going on with Wall? He’s nowhere near a bust. He’s a multi time all star and Made All NBA first team. He got hurt.Wall is still my all time favorite UK player. I don’t think any player ever brought me as much excitement to watch as he did. I even really liked him in his early NBA days.
That being said he’s kind of a bust as a pro. I hate saying it and for years I convinced myself he would recover from being injury prone and get back to being a top 5 PG. it just didn’t work out that way. And as he added size and strength, his explosiveness and insane speed/athletic ability went down.

He was a multi year All Star before the injuries. However, living in Maryland afforded me the chance to watch most of his games and he was never the best player on any of his Wizards' teams. Bradley Bill was the better player and often times they would lose games because Wall would pound the ball into the floor until late into the shot clock before passing it to someone forcing them to take bad shots to beat the clock. When he wasn't doing that, he was running down court at top speed out of control which resulted in turnovers. The best move the Wizs made were trading him away for Westbrook and then moving Westbrook for multiple players. Those who live in the area know that Wall spent way too much time in the clubs working on that game instead of his court game which is why he never developed a dependable outside shot.i wouldn’t classify wall as a bust. he was a multi year all star before the injuries.
He's also in his early 30s I believe. Time is undefeated.Wall is still my all time favorite UK player. I don’t think any player ever brought me as much excitement to watch as he did. I even really liked him in his early NBA days.

I guess I should have said in comparison to my expectations. Coming out of college I thought he would be a top 3 PG in the league for a long time and a sure fire Hall of Famer.
I’ve been watching summer clips of him and he looks really good. Improved his shooting a ton.Wall is still my all time favorite UK player. I don’t think any player ever brought me as much excitement to watch as he did. I even really liked him in his early NBA days.

I'll be sure and welcome him properly with a pineapple surprise.surely he is going to hell now...
So many players over the years with similar injury stories but often no big time money like Wall. It really puts into perspective how amazing some players like Kareem, Jordan, Bird, Kobe and LeBron were/are to last as long as they do in a sport that slowly destroys your body every day.Oh, he’s definitely not a bust, I never meant to suggest that. He was indeed the real deal for a few years there. But then he landed a contract for superstar money and has been Missing In Action ever since.
The dude timed it perfectly. He landed his max contract at his absolute career peak, right before injuries and poor play began to rapidly derail him.
I guess I should have said in comparison to my expectations. Coming out of college I thought he would be a top 3 PG in the league for a long time and a sure fire Hall of Famer.
It's really semantics, but true. Still not unfair to say Wall didn't quite have the career many expected.Huge difference in being a bust, and busted from injuries.
Cussing is allowed, but telling the truth about China is not allowed. Is cursing allowed in the NBA?
So averaging 20.6 PPG and 6.9 APG for his career despite significant injuries is a bust now? I hope nobody goes back and looks at some hall of famers stats because they will be pulling their membership from the HOF.That being said he’s kind of a bust as a pro. I hate saying it and for years I convinced myself he would recover from being injury prone and get back to being a top 5 PG. it just didn’t work out that way. It is a weird situation and I don’t think the League should be OK with it. A team agreeing to not play its highest paid player at all …even when he’s perfectly healthy …is about as blatant an example of tanking as you’ll find.Weird the NBA is letting him sit out but they wouldn’t let the Pelicans sit AD out .
Maybe I’m missing something
