Olandis got money on games, it’s obvious lol..
I actually think Lindsay is ok. Poole on the other hand ,,,,,,
I agree. Lindsay is in the Doug Shows category. I don’t think he necessarily has something against UK—he just stinks at his job.
This. I've seen him do other games and he's just bad at his job plus he likes to make sure Joe gets his air time with multiple reviews.
We’re giving up almost 90 points a game in the conference.

Rest time. Dude can’t hang and needs breaks whenever possible, sometimes he has to manufacture them.
Olandis Poole has been officiating SEC games since 2016 and he's still a #3 official. In that same time he has called 6 NCAA tournament games. As a basketball bennie, I can tell he's not a very good official and his bosses who evaluate him appear to think the same.
Lindsay usually gets about 3 NCAA games a year. I've never thought he was a great official. I have no idea how you can be sharp with their crazy travel schedule. Last week he called a game Tuesday in Greenville, NC, Wednesday in Indy, Thursday in Philly, and Saturday in Lexington.

I’ve said for years all officials should be under control of the ncaa and employees. Uniform training, game assignment and accountability.
No more of these guys basically being independent contractors and barnstorming around the country.

Or you can act like officiating isn't a part of the problem and pretend they are great at their jobs and above scrutiny. Is our defense bad? Yes Has the officiating been bad? Yes So both things can be true. They say the more aggressive team gets the whistle but Saturday Bama took 50% of their shots from 3 point range (34 of 67) and UK took 36% of their shots (27 of 73) from 3 point range which would indicate UK was taking more shots in the lane/at the rim and thus should have received at least a similar amount of free throws. The latter was not only not true but we had a 34-20 discrepancy at home where you usually have the "Home Court Advantage".
To me the biggest thing with the calls was touch fouls being called on drives for Bama was not called when we drove to the basket. Was most of the egregious? No but they were inconsistent. In 5 SEC games it's been basically an average of 30-20 free throw attemps in favor of the opponents. In our OOC games against P5 schools it is 24-20 free throws per game in favor of UK. So I'm not buying into Matt Jones explanation that we are horrible on defense and foul too much due to not being as athletic because in the pre conference schedule we weren't having the same issues.

Where did you see this? I saw someone report on Twitter (prior to the Alabama game) that we had won 11 in a row that Joe Lindsay officiated, including the Duke game this year.

It’s way too simplistic to say “Bama took half their shots from 3 and we took 36% of our shots from 3. The free throw numbers should be similar.” A good portion of Bama’s 3s come from them attacking the paint and kicking the ball. So even though they may take a long shot, it comes from them putting pressure on the defense in the paint.
Everyone looks at 34-20 and gets up in arms and says that it should never happen, especially at home. In theory i agree. But in reality, Bama shot 10 free throws in the last 1:10 with UK fouling to stop the clock. Now it stands at 24-20, and that is well within reason.
Not a perfectly officiated game by any means, but certainly nothing egregious like some have been crying about since Saturday.
