Jimbo just did what Coach Klein didn’t have the guts to do to Coach Red, he stood up, called him a spoiled whiney child that’s mad he didn’t get his way and making allegations that we can talk about if you really want to talk about allegations.

Sounds an awful lot like Huge Freeze. Going overboard emphasizing no laws were broken, of course not, it was not and never has been illegal to give someone money. But ATM certainly worked the rule to their advantage.

But after Jimbo and the way he handled the Winston situation shows he will do anything to win. UGA had one arrested, Likely a 1st rounder because he would have wrecked the combine, not only was he off the team but dismissed from school. Jimbo never did anything with Winston, the school president suspended him minutes before kickoff on a Sat night.

A&M did buy their class, but Alabama has been doing that for decades. Saban sounds like Pitino saying he didn't know about the hookers...he is either the biggest idiot on the planet or lying.

Maybe I'm naïve but IMO Bama get's the best players because unlike A&M and UT they play for national championships every year and put more guys in the NFL than just about anyone, they really don't need to pay anyone unlike the wannabes A&M and UT do. So if what Saban is saying is factual, then I'm on his side and hopefully this controversy will put additional pressure on the powers-that-be in the NCAA to get a firm handle on this situation before college football starts unravelling at the seam.

I don't think its that serious. Most likely just pull a Tennessee and throw things.

You don't know much about the extreme Bama fans, they shoot each other they aren't thing a loss bad enough. Seriously they better have tons of security. And if ATM wins they better get off the field as soon as they can

I agree with, when Bama was trying to find a coach they were paying, but now they don't have to. Go to Bama win a title or 2 and if are good enough get drafted. ATM could claim come here lose 4 games a blackout of your bowl game. Yeah kids were falling all over themselves for that. While Saban made the comment about Young's NIL deal, no mention of him already being at Bama. And according to how I understand was how it was suppose to work. Screw Jimbo, nothing would please me more that all be declared ineligible forcollege football.

Wow. Jimbo looks pissed, but in a cray cray way. This is not good for Saban or Jimbo.

Yeah I got an immediate vibe of "he doth protest too much" from that. And using the "poor 19 year old kids" shield was tell as well. I believe ole Nick hit too close to the nerve on this one.

Soyp you and I have the same opinion on alot of things. He just denied too hard. He knows Nixk was right, buy og course no proof and even if there were there are basically no rules. But Jimbo averages 4-5 losses a year, outside of Jamis his time at FSU was average. He produces average results with the money they are spending He is out of there.

If Jimbo wasn't prepared to sell his Momma to a Russian gangster for a national title, those backwards ass Aggies didn't want him.

My great hope is UT-Austin sees a revival and buries them in a pile of burning used furniture.

"Hook'em"

Wow if Nick’s always been that way why all the fake comments from Jimbo in the past on him? Sounds like he couldn’t wait to call him out

Saban apologizes.

I am.
I mean this isn't about hundred dollar hand shakes or cash left in a McDonalds bag, the NIL is all out in the open, heck A&M actually bragged about paying for recruits. If Bama or any other program was using the NIL situation to recruit players we would probably all know about it. Also don't think Saban would have made such a profound statement as he did if he in fact were also guilty.

So how do you explain hundreds of Bama players in 80-100k rides, gold chains all over , etc all while playing under Saban?
Saban said out of his own mouth Bryce Young had over a millions in NIL before he ever played a game

Do you really think BAma dudes aren’t there just for program or NFL path?

I think Saban makes a good point about NIL is a bad idea in some perspective….but he comes off like whiny to target Jimbo who happened to beat them for top recruiting class last year

I don't know how they got them, do you? One of our player's mom is a pediatric orthopedic surgeon and his dad is over the Savanah port. He is driving a Raptor and opposing fans say UGA bought it for him. Parents are bringing down 7 figures and can't afford a Ford? Dealerships will give players an edge in financing, normally a balloon payment involved when a kid shows he has NFL potential. But just because a kid drives a nice car doesn't mean it was given to him. Chris Milton, one of our RB parents is well off too. He isn't shy on Twitter either.

100's you know this? Young was not a recruite, he was enrolled at Bama and players like him wS the intent of the rule., the ATM guys were not enrolled, comparing apples to oranges.

I like Kirby's statement about NIL and recruiting. Whether or not he was full of BS, who knows, but I like his statement. He said that if a recruit is coming to your school solely because of a NIL deal, then that is not the kind of player you can win with.

A&M did buy their class, but Alabama has been doing that for decades. Saban sounds like Pitino saying he didn't know about the hookers...he is either the biggest idiot on the planet or lying.
Saban honestly thought every kid he recruited had a brand new Dodge Charger or maybe even a BMW or Cadillac.... every single one including walk ons...

There is literally an internet thread from opposing fans albeit where Bama kids tag on social media pics of them with their rides…and it’s hundreds of them over the years

People from Etown Ky where Jedrick Wills is from know of the rides he suddenly had at Bama but he never had that anything like that before

I mean 95% of black kids at big schools like Bama , UGA, etc don’t come from a family with an orthopedic surgeon as their parent. Most are either middle class or straight up poor and family don’t have 80-100k to throw on a vehicle….or gold chain this or diamond ear ring that. But they’ve magically had them well before hitting NFL …and not all were big NFL draft choices

Saban is right in his statements about NIL. But most of his motive isn’t the good of the game…it’s he wants less competition to sustain top dog status. And the state of Texas has more resources then does the state of Alabama…and he may see that train a coming

I too don’t know how players get nice cars, but I suspect if my son got a full ride, including room and board, I would get him a nice car, because he just saved me more than the car’s value (especially if I bought a nice used car, pre-inflation). I don’t want to be naive. I also don’t want to accuse someone of something without much evidence.
