Jefferson Pilot Sports to air Jackson St game

Wrapped in foil with a 10-year-old tweaking them while dad lays on the couch with a beer...
We left a pair of pliars on top of the t.v. to change channels, after the inside of the knob broke...wasn't much channel surfing though, we only got Wave 3 (year round) and WHAS 11 (starting in the fall after the leaves had fallen off the trees)

Growing up in Louisville during the 70's, I remember sportscaster Ed Kallay of WAVE TV telling viewers to turn their heads as they showed the score......nothing about the game.....only the score.....then at 11 30 pm nirvana for this teenager.....The Cats were on late night TV. Johnny Carson had to wait!!

Anyone found out the channel?
I still can't find the Jefferson Pilot app to add to my smart TV to watch. I'm getting pretty worried.

I might have to listen on the radio, so if anyone has instructions how to do that, please let me know.

Also, I still need confirmation on the game time.

That was a big nostalgic memory for me too. Our local station would announce the Kentucky score during the 10:00 news and give everyone ten seconds to turn their TV down first.
Same here man. It's like we all grew up in the same household.! Those were the days. Always felt like crap the next day at school but it was so worth it!

I remember all that, I also remember two of the people who called games on one of the channels I watched Kentucky play on were Joe Knight and Denny Trease. That was a long time ago.

I'm not sure of the channel but I just read a press release Jefferson Pilot Sports got the rights to the Jackson St game and will be broadcasting it live.
And th satellite back haul will be on weststar 5 transponder 6…. Ahh the good ole days

I have been guilty on a couple of occasions of seeing the score to decide if I wanted to stay up and watch or not.

I think he said a good day for a hay ride not to ride Hayden but it's a good day for that too.
